I think all the teams in the A-Sun must be pretenders at times. I just saw Stetson shoot the lights out and beat Mercer.
That they did, can't argue about that.

That's an impressive stat!

Hey! Mercer beat JU... Jacksonville cried about it in their post game release.

Mercer is far from unbeatable. However they are the most complete team in the league that I've seen play. Jacksonville would be a close second when healthy.

Good win by the Camels over Lipsomb today. We hung in there and got the win and made our free throws.
1-1 in Nashville is not that bad. Now we have a chance to make it 2-1 vs ETSU. Always enjoy our games against ETSU. Even though we have come out on the short in I think this can be a good game.
Hats off to Lipscomb as well - that was a good basketball game from both teams. Really enjoyed watching it.
It the Camels get to 70 first they usually win Camels were up 70 to 69.
Anybody changed their mind about Contender vs Pretender.

and now we have January 30th, 2010 to add to the Campbell story. J-Rod held to ZERO points. Yes, 0. Belmont waxes Campbell by 25.

I agree. We did not even show up. They did hold J-Rod to no points. I think he might have held himself to that. He did not show up on Saturday. Also Coach Laing pulled he and Merthie out of the game early in the second half and he did not even look at them the rest of the half. He played the bench for the remainder of the game.
I hope we showup against Lipscomb. J-Rod is still 14 points from 2,000 and just a few rebounds from 1,000. Maybe he can pick it up before the end of the season. Should do that unless we play Belmont every game.

I change my vote - Pretender.
Last two games have convinced me of that.
