Anyway, most places I've worked you had to be on the job for a year before you got a vacation.

In the middle of a recession this sends a bad message to those of us who can't afford such luxury.

Isnt Bush the one who spent 487 days at Camp David and 490 days in Crawford? And everyone's precious Reagan spent 436 days on vacation. The double standard is amusing.

If you're going to call out double standard, then look at the beam in your own eye first. (BTW, that was the point. How f'n stupid do you have to be to miss it?)
So what you are saying is you had no problems with Bush and Raygun being on vacation so many days but if it is Obama(or a Democrat in general) it is wrong and he should not take vacations.

I didn't say anything like that.

Right. THat is why there were so many mergers and the biggest got bigger and stronger with fewer regulations under Bush. 01-wingedeagle

Fear. It has overtaken America. If it isn't the terrorists its the free market. Everybody has a boogyman I suppose.
Have you not heard the words "Too big to fail" recently? Did you know there are only about 7 health insurance companies(many smaller ones that are a part of the big 7)? How many phone companies are there today(granted we now have Magic Jack,Vonage etc but still too small to really compete). How many cable companies do we have? How many food companies are there(ADM, Cargill etc)? There are 4-5 at most. It isn't scare tactics it is the truth.

It's amazing that you continue to prove how little you know.

I am a huge Obama supporter, and even I think this is largess at its worst.

I'm not an Obama supporter.
I think he'll do less harm on vacation than anywhere else.
So let him stay there for the rest of his term.

The guy can't just roll to the Jersey shore or the Delaware beaches.

Regardless of the price, I want the President of the United States of America to be safe and secure when out in public.

Though who didn't love the stories of Clinton sneaking out the back door to get some McLovin' or some McDonalds?

No...It's BS...I guess you would have been seeking protection for blacksmiths when the Model T was invented? Competition is certainly happening....You are contradicting your point with your examples. There is nothing wrong with someone being the leader of a market. Also...Every example you mention are tied into government subsidies which IS protectionism. I understand that you believe in Socialism...I also understand you support theft.
