I've been accused by this same person of the same thing... and 69/70 (as usual) is right on.

The law is pretty clear on this, and peopel MUCH more informed and educated on the subject than Robert have spoken... Forgive me if I defer to learned people rather than the rantings of someone out of touch with the world.

As to waterboarding specifically... It is legal... no war crime... so get over it... and nobody lied about it... so no "scandal"... While you may not like it, Ronert... and honestly NONE of us LIKE it... which directly disproves your contention... but many of us ARE willing to take extrordinary steps to prevent civilian deaths... including making our own soldiers NOT shoot armed militants hiding behind children or in schools... risking their own lives... AND waterboarding the enemy to get information that we can't get by playing chess.

These people believe that our way of life is an affront to theirs. It's not about liking or disliking them or us. Its about how far they or we are willing to go to support their/our way of life. They are not simply interested in enforcing THEIR laws within their borders. They wish to enforce their laws within ALL borders.... and are willing to kill us to do so.

What is YOUR suggestion to someone who thinks his way into heaven is to kill you?

I grew up in Fort Lee, NJ, across the Hudson River from Manhattan, NYC and as a kid I watched the WTC being built from about 5 miles away. I knew a person who died when it went down. My ex-wife was in NYC on 911 and she said it was horrible. My family said that when the winds shifted and blew over NJ the smell was horrible. I'm closer to 911 than you and I wasn't even there. And guess what? I really don't care how much those animals suffer. They all want us dead just because of who we are and you feel sorry for them?
