Bush ex officials whine about memos being released?
Really? An admin that prided itself on outting a CIA operative through news leaks and lied about their doing so to cover it up (Scooter Libbey), is mad because Obama's admin released the memos about the torture that they said they weren't authorizing?

Why the outrage?

Legalizing torture. A shameful episode in the history of this nation. We'll be living it down in world respect for decades to come.

For shame, Bush!!

I see that the type of torture discussed in these memos is performed in about 500 bedrooms a day......only without the doctors present.

Always proud to be a Bronco.

waterboarding is not something the US should use or be proud of, Acer.

We're better than that. Or we should be.

220, 221 whatever it takes. I'm really nervous about the future of this country with the mental midgets being so mainstream.

Yeah, I see your point DB. You wouldn't want to stick a guy under water for 15 seconds because, you know, that could be uncomfortable, and what's the best we could expect other than a little information on some covert operations to kill American.......................

I'm guessing this guy is holding his breath for eternity...........

So Mr. McCain, either talk or we break your arm,
and you'll never be able to lift your hands over
your head again.

I know the first thing most Americans were thinking at this time
was, "Gee, I hope they don't have to dunk someone in a bath-tub
for 15 seconds to find out who was behind this."

That's just it bub, they are great points. They certainly put the practice of dunking someone in a tub for a few seconds, into perspective.

Me, I'm guessing Paul Johnson would have preferred waterboarding..........just a guess.

I personally find that waterboarding someone while a doctor is present, falls a far short of being torture.

Please convince those terrorist to have a doctor present when our prisoners are quesitoned.

Always proud to be a Bronco.

Since the ban of torture is a treaty issue, the question not what we think torture is, the question is what we are people battling think torture is.

If they think torture has been committed, then the treaty is broken. And they will torture the prisoners from our forces they possess.

OMFG 03-weeping 03-weeping

The Geneva Convention deals with uniformed troops, not organized thugs from around the world who want to kill innocent civilians in NYC.

They'll torture our soldiers??????????? They always did Torture our soldiers you idiot!!
The Geneva Convention was the standard definition of war crimes since 1864. The Japenese didn't sign it. Check your history. They tortured constantly. See, the Bataan Death March. No torture there.

Do you think the Vietnamese operated under the Geneva Convention. Ask John McCain.
Even the South Vietnames tortured, but at least they spared this guy the pain
[Image: eddie_vietnam_1.jpg]

How about this U.S. soldier. Thank gawd they adhered to the Geneva Convention.

Yeah, pouring water on a guys face to get information, that really compares now doesn't it.

"But but but, what about my Geneva Convention rights??????"

"Here's your rights"

Yep, my heart goes out to those poor terrorists in Gitmo............
