Stephan F. Austin does have a big road win over Oklahoma, which will help. They are really borderline for sure, but I wouldn't be surprised if they got a bid if they made the tournament finals.
I don't know, I just picture Stephan F. Austin coming up during the discussion and all of the committee members looking at each, then in unison saying, "Akron. Out." It would be nice for the Southland to get multiple bids. That conference has some tough teams this season. Unfortunately, because the conference isn't named ACC, Big East, Big 10, Big 12, SEC, or PAC-10, those teams will be overlooked. The Southland might've benefited this year from participating in the Bracketbuster.

just re-watched the game. Anyone else notice St. Mary's coach Randy Bennett give Jim Christian the quick, cold-fish handshake after the game.... Wouldn't even look him in the eye.

I also noticed that too but right after blowing off JC he continued on down the line w/o the attitude so I wondered if he had a beef with JC.

Not that I'm defending the guy, but I think it might just be his personality. He was on Rome is Burning on Friday and struck me to have more of the personality of a wrestling coach than a basketball coach. Just my two cents...

Not much to add to what others have already said...damn, what a great win. I couldn't watch the game until last night, and I was still on the edge of my seat in the second half even though I knew that KSU won. Huge game by Fisher, and some very clutch plays by many others, including those Scott threes in the second half. I thought the announcers did a really nice job, and I dislike about 90% of hoops announcers.

The only thing that worries me about this team is that they seem to have a long stretch every game where the offense bogs down, and they turn to Fisher or Singletary to create something on their own. Of course, it's nice to have guys who can create their own shot, and the defensive intensity can hopefully carry them through the dry spells. But it's something to keep an eye on as they head down the stretch. Otherwise, they're clicking on all cylinders, and it sure is nice to have guys like Sherman and Woods come off the bench to contribute when necessary.

Thanks, as always, to David C for his insights.
