Not when you have sustained 40 injuries, hard to evaulate the coaching job.

Yeah, but how many on the offense? Clanton that's about it. Who else?

TE's have been devastated which is a key position for NIU's offense. Plus the defensive injuries contribute to problems on offense when we are starting down deficits so early. Hard to maintain the gameplan.

the coaches recruited and trained the players...a lot of injuries aren't preventable...some of them are...some of them are due to either lack of or too much hitting in practice. either way, someone is responsible for our program being where it is...it's not just injuries.

if the TE's are injured (which they have been since before the season), CHANGE THE GAMEPLAN. They've had plenty of time.

You can blame the Iowa loss on the coaches and players but the 7 losses after that is 90% due to injury.

Basically our coaching staff needs to be gutted, and I'm predicting it will be this off-season. It will be one of Jim Phillips' toughest jobs he has ever done here.

I dont know rabid, it is just nearly impossible to evaulate coaches when you do not have your team on the field. That would be like evaulating a high school varsity coach based on the performance of the Junior varsity team, just is not a fair thing. Given the situation, I think NIU could possible FLIP this year's record around next year. I could see them going 10-2 next year.

i may believe that the D will be better, but we certainly wont be any deeper...

and our O? Davis is on the field today, Nickleson is still sucking it up and Perez is average if anything..... the o we see is the o we got and toledos D is statistically awful. we cant move the ball.

Nickleson at qb and these wr's = an awful year next year as well.

I wish there was a post-game break down by Eddie Obradovich and Doug Baffone. The only good thing about a Bear loss is listening to those guys going nut-ball. I wish we had an emotional duo to break down these Huskie losses.

Dude, your grasp on reality is tenuous at best...hell, that's even giving you the benefit of the doubt, I think many psychiatrists would have you committed for living in an alternate reality. It would take this coaching staff--injuries or not--two, likely three, more seasons to accumulate the next 10 wins in this program's future.

Time to clean house. Get to work JP.

RE: Toledo Game Thread
yeah holding the varsity coach responsible for the JV team is so similar to a college coaching situation.

does a HS varsity coach go out and recruit players to decide which players he gets? No.

This game would kill both of them. One would have a stroke and the other a heart attack.

We've got 4 or 5 nutjobs on here that do these "emotional" breakdowns. Just stick around after a loss and you will see them crawl out of their holes.
