The San Antonio Spurs handed LeBron "King" James and the Cleveland Cavaliers four consecutive defeats in the NBA Finals to claim a fourth championship in nine years with Gregg Popovich coaching and Tim Duncan playing.

The sweep concluded with an 83-82 Spurs victory Thursday night, and it was another suffocating defensive effort: James missed 20 of 30 shots from the field with six turnovers against 24 points and 10 assists. San Antonio's Manu Ginobili rose up in the finale with 27 points to help Tony Parker, the first European series MVP, and Duncan.

"We just faced a better team in this series," James said. "Simple as that."

Personally, I am glad the season is finally over... no need to drag it out. I like this time of the year, when the draft is looming and the offseason is upon us. I am looking forward to seeing what the Raptors will do to improve on next season.
