Arnold is the perfect fit for California. He is conservative enough to have the sense to fix the mess out there but he is still moderate enough to apease all the leftist hippie types. Things should go well for him.

Wouldn't it have been great though to have California fail under the control of Liberals? I would have given them, at the most, another 2 years before total collapse.

Dude, he isn't conservative at all.
He's a Rino. (Republican in name only)

sure he is. He's an economic conservative and a social liberal.

Well, you're right. But I couldn't vote for anyone who is Pro-Choice (Pro-Death) like Arnold is.

He does overall lean on the conservative side but on some important issues he definately is liberal. The question is is that an attempt to try and please everybody? Would he be better off definately being on one side or the other?

What I meant was he is economically conservative and that is what California needs. People in California are pinkos a social conservative would never win there. The economy is what needs fixing. He will succeed because his social ideals reflect what the people of California want.
I am as conservative as anyone but I could not condone someone running a government if his ideals are in direct contrast to those of his constituents. No matter what part of the political spectrum you are on the purpose of Government is to reflect the needs of your constituency. California is a very liberal state and regardless of what my ideals are they need a governor who reflects their ideals.

What I can't understand is how some "conservatives" can be so gung ho about killing 10,000 innocent civilians... but not fetal tissue...
For the record, I'm vehemently against killing either.

not pro-death. Pro-abortion. I'm conservative, but i'm for abortion. I'm against partial-birth abortion.

Conservatives don't kill innocent civilians, but if you mean sending troops to many different places, there's nothing wrong with that.
Pro-abortion and pro-military!!

How can you sit here and tell me it's okay to kill millions of innocent lives?
It's a matter of life and death. Don't give me this life and choice crap.
