You know, I quit reading this thread when he could not say why he will vote for Kerry, instead of why he will vote against Bush. It is typical of Kerry voters, and young dems.

1) Kerry is making campaign promises that I like. (Bush lies)
2) If Kerry does not fulfill those promises I will vote against him next election. (like Bush)
3) People who support a party not a person are idiots! (brain washed)
4) I think a vote for Nadar is a wasted vote.
5) Bush has not been good for America and only party blindness keeps people misguided.
6) I believe Al Gore would have done a better job. To bad I wasted my vote on Bush.
7) I'm wasting my time with the brain washed right.... A couple years ago I wouldn't listen either.

How to tell if your brain washed.... You cannot find any good at all in the other party. You only see the bad. I hope this doesn't cause anyone to run to Rush or Fox for some comfort and consoling.

I read your links on brain stem research... I still support the research, my mother is living with cancer and I wish they would have started more research years ago!

Quote:Kerry is making campaign promises that I like. (Bush lies)

1) Can you name the Kerry proposals you like?
2) When did Bush lie and can you provide supporting evidence for this assertion? Hint: Michael Moore doesn't count.

Quote:People who support a party not a person are idiots! (brain washed)

You are living proof of that.

Quote:I think a vote for Nadar is a wasted vote.

Of course you do, you're a liberal democrat, my guess is you have been for years, not just since Bush took office.

Quote:Bush has not been good for America and only party blindness keeps people misguided.

Once again, you are living proof of that. The key indicator being the only thing you can support your position with are generalities and insults. That shows you're nothing more than a Bush hater with no mind of your own. Your views are based on hate, not a reasoning of the issues.

Quote:I believe Al Gore would have done a better job. To bad I wasted my vote on Bush.
I think you're lying about your vote.

Quote:I'm wasting my time with the brain washed right.... A couple years ago I wouldn't listen either.

No, you're wasting your time because you offer nothing for us to listen to. There's no reasoning or logic behind your posts. It's the same pabulum that every Bush hater you march in lock step with offer.

Keep living the hate kid. However one day you'll find you've wasted an awful lot of time on feelings that will do nothing for you. Keep tuning into Franken and Carville, I know they're your support network.

What I love is all these people that were supposed "Bush supporters" in 2000 - a soft way of trying to influence people with a statement that CANNOT BE SUBSTANTIATED, since we vote on a blind ballot. It would be easy for me to describe myself as a "lifelong Dem and former Gore supporter" now voting for Bush. It wouldn't be true, but aside from my own honesty, who could dispute me if I said it?

If all these alleged "Bush supporters" and all these newly registered voters were really going Kerry's way, the election would be a landslide in his favor. It's anything but, because most of these reports, and most of these people (are you reading this, Kristin Breitweiser?) are flat out LIARS.

So like fat Jack once said - go sell crazy somewhere else. We're all stocked up here.

I also like how he tries to make himself appear non-partisan by saying Bush is as bad as Carter. I.e. "If I throw in a Dem with a Repub, I won't appear to be a hack of the DNC".

I just love those two points! Let's look at them more closely. First with #3, you claim that we should not blindly follow a party...which is a decent statement, and then with #4 you go about trashing the previous statement. With #4 you say that a vote for Nadar is wasted. Why is that? If you really support the "PERSON" and not the "PARTY", then why is a NADAR vote wasted. You are trashing a guy because he could harm YOUR PARTY. 05-nono Sorry guy, but that ain't gonna fly around here.

Now, would you like to try again to give us a reason as why you are going to vote for Kerry?

By the way, Kerry has 19 years in the Senate that you can judge as well.

Of course, we don't want facts to get in your way.

I read your links on brain stem research

Now we must conclude that: a) as a self-admitted, straight party voter for many years, you were brainwashed and that you yourself are that which you now profess to despise (all the more astonishing given that those posts were made less than 24 hours apart); b) you have precisely zero credibility when it comes to making such comments; and c) in light of your admitted brainwashing, you may have a personal interest in brain stem research that transcends other issues.

Perhaps you should read more on a variety of issues, brain stem research the least of them.

I openly admit that I was a former Ditto-head and did vote straight ticket Republican. If you choose to believe otherwise that is your choice. I know that in your world it's not conceivable that a person can become enlightened to the truth and want to make changes.

Fact: I did listen to Rush every opportunity and considered Liberals and the ACLU the enemy of America. I just think it's easy for some people to get sucked into believing that garbage.

I changed my position after the war with Iraq started. I was not in favor of invading Iraq. The media played it up as if I wasn't a patriotic American and definitely the Republican Party echoed those sediments. The more the war became a debacle, and kept changing, the Rep. voices kept telling everyone what to say and think, and whoa-la the people would echo the same words... It was very enlightening to me to see how my fellow countrymen could be so engrafted into something that the obvious truths could be overlooked.

Fact: I plan to vote for the Republican Mayor and County Commissioner in local races...

I think the country needs a change and that is why I’m not considering Nadar. If he had a possibility of unseating Bush then I might consider him. Kerry has the better chance.

I believe that Iran will soon be invaded if Bush is reelected and eventually with so many years of war the draft could return and I don’t want my sons to become involved in a war for those reasons. If China invades us then I, my sons, and daughter would all willingly fight.

I’ve not seen the movie F-911 and don’t care if I do….. I did watch the video on the Clinton Chronicles years ago… The video that has Clinton associated with drugs and killing… At that time even that crazy video made since.. It’s all junk to me!

I hate snakes and child abusers; I don’t wake up giving either a thought unless the topic or instance would bring up the conversation. I hate Bush; I don’t live a life of hate no more than living a life of hating snakes… Just for the record, I am happier since I stopped listening to Rush and watching congress… I’m just bored at work and thought I would give out my thoughts… That is what this board is for… Maybe some of you live a life of hate and that’s why you assume I do too.

No. In my world it's not conceivable someone could go from one extreme to the other in the manner you claim to have and be telling the truth. It doesn't happen. You don't change everything you believe in b/c of Iraq. You don't hold to the insane conspiracy theories that you have stated on this board if you were once a conservative. It doesn't happen, which is why I believe you are lying.

Quote:The media played it up as if I wasn't a patriotic American and definitely the Republican Party echoed those sediments.

Ah, the media played it up huh? Care to provide examples? You have yet to provide a shred of evidence for any view you've espoused here, why not start with this one?

Quote:It was very enlightening to me to see how my fellow countrymen could be so engrafted into something that the obvious truths could be overlooked.

Every post you make reenforces the fact you are sucked into that very thing.

A few examples.
"Iraq is no better off now than they were prior to us invading them."

That comment is so insane one need not go any further.

"Bush spent too much time on vacation and did not attend briefings."

Yeah, you've not seen F-9/11.

"Bush lowering taxes on the upper bracket that has our national debt exploding."

1)Everyone got a tax cut
2) Tax cuts don't cause deficits, spending does
3) Your jealousy of people who make more than you is a sad way to form a political opinion.

"My PST has lost Money from the day he was elected until today."

The fact that you blame that on Bush shows you're seriously ignorant on how the economy works.

"I don't like the high gasoline prices and think "W" is partly responsible."

 Yeah, Bush and Halliburton, the black helicopters are everywhere.

This is the language of the looney left, not someone who was once a republican.

Quote:I hate Bush

Yes, you do. And that hate is what makes you lie.

Quote:Maybe some of you live a life of hate and that’s why you assume I do too.

Have you seen any of us state we hate someone? You on the other hand...

"Yes, you do. And that hate is what makes you lie".

Sorry Niner, but no lies from me.

You keep attacking me personally... I guess this is where I start calling you a few things.... However, it wouldn't change anything so I will pass......

You don't like it when someone thinks differently than you. If I've learned anything in my life it's that sometimes we are all wrong. I've been wrong before and will make errors in the future. My girlfriend claims that Reps are more uptight and anal... Maybe she is right... maybe she’s wrong?

I truly believe that as crazy as it sounds that if Bush was to start telling everyone the sky was purple,50% of the country would swear it was so....

Sure.

Quote:You don't like it when someone thinks differently than you.

Sorry, wrong again. I have no problem with people who think differently than me. I have a problem with people who think differently because they start from "I hate Bush" and work their way forward from there. There is no logic behind your reasoning for hating Bush. I have no respect for someone who forms their beliefs based on such things. And even less for those who can't back anything up with reasonable arguments.

Quote:I truly believe that as crazy as it sounds that if Bush was to start telling everyone the sky was purple,50% of the country would swear it was so....

And I truly believe if lefties claimed Iraq was better off with Saddam people like you would fall right in line with it. Oh wait, that's already happend.

Thank you for not resorting to name calling.

Niner, you on the other hand are in direct violation of the <a href='http://www.ncaabbs.com/forums/ncaa/invision/index.php?act=ST&f=31&t=11566' target='_blank'>Spin room AUP</a>. Please stop the personal attacks.

So #11 implies that you agree with Bush "doing it for the right reasons", since Kerry is anti-Life (my new tag line as Pro-Choice people call Pro Life activists Anti-Choice) and against slowing the move to force all institutions Churches, govt. etc to recognize gay marriage.

Your statement implies you are PRO-Life and against Gay Marriage, how do you reconcile voting for Kerry. 03-confused
