give me a break. a rivalry is when both tgeams beat each other about the same amount of times. the braves pretty much always win.
i've seen those games. they were no more heated than any playoff series. those two teams just aren't rivals. they are divison foes, but not rivals.

True, but that is not the only thing that defines a rivalry. Would you say the Yankees and Red Sox are not a rivalry, because before last year the Yankees always won?

I have seen few series' that matched that one as far as intensity and competetiveness.

i wouldn't have called it much of a rivalry. and i'm not just saying that, i've always believed it. the yankees and red sox, have always been very heated, but never much of a rivalry. i mean, the yankees always won.

thanks. i just can't see how something can be a rivalry if one team always wins.

giants, dodgers are a rivalry. they've beat each other up for a decade. sometimes the dodgers win, sometimes the giants win.
when was the last time the mets won the division? but i guess nobody can win that division aside from the braves.

flyingswoosh Wrote:wow! you braves fan's turn sour so quickly. it's really pathetic. he was virtually the biggest reason you guys won your one WS. he threw a 1 hitter against the yankees. he put in a lot ofamazing years, and wanted to get paid what he deserved, but the braves decided to be cheap. how dare you insult tom glavine. you're the kind of crappy fan who boos him when he comes back to atlanta. if i were standing face to face with you right now, i would pull a robby alomar.
I certainly won't cheer for good ole Tommy now, but you just don't leave the team you helped win a WS and go to a team in the same division. He turned his back on the Atlanta Braves and the fans. He wasn't the biggest reason. That '95 team was a complete team. If you looked at that lineup, it was full of guys who had bigger roles than Glavine. Does the name Greg Maddux sound familiar? How about the guy who hit the homer in game 6 to win the series, David Justice? Tom Glavine wasn't the biggest reason the Braves won the series. You just wanted to use that in your baseless argument.
And just to remind you, the Braves beat the Indians to win the WS. The 1 hitter he threw against the Yanks means nothing cause the Yanks won the series.
