This is a game we should win, considering it's at home. That doesn't mean we will, though.

I'm worried that too many people are conceding this one to the Heels due to Elder's injury. Even some Tech fans are saying an "upset" is highly improbable. This is just setting us up for a huge disappointment.

Part of my worry stems from the "look-ahead" factor with the Wake game this weekend. That one is an in-state rivalry, and would be a huge conference road win. I think both sides are looking to that one to see if they can duplicate the fireworks from last year's triple-overtime classic.

The fact that this is Tech, though, should keep the looking ahead from happening. We've dropped our last two to Tech, and didn't look particularly good doing it. I would almost have to contend that our loss in Atlanta last year was our worst game of the season. Perhaps the Clemson game would be worse -- considering the competition -- but it seems to be that we were down by double digits almost the entire game in Atlanta.

Tech will be the best defensive team we've seen this year, by far. Elder's injury has little effect on that aspect of the game. They also still have enough parts to keep the offensive machine running in Elder's absence.

I think this one will be a lot closer than people expect. We'd better bring our A game tonight....

If a game is getting ready to start and I'm not worried, that worries me.

You guys outplayed us from start to finish. We looked terrible out there, you guys looked awesome. I wish you guys could play at AMC, but I guess that won't happen. Good game, congrats on your ACC title.

UNC surely looks like the favorite to win the ACC right now, but Wake could give them a run for their money...

GT and Duke are two darkhorses that outside of Wake and UNC are really the only other possible ACC title contenders.

Well, we brought our A game -- at least on defense -- and Tech really did miss Elder a heck of a lot.

Now comes what I've been saying for awhile now: The first true test of the season is Saturday. We'll get to see how the guys handle playing in a hostile environment against an excellent team.

I was also worried about this game... Fortunately, they showed up and played some great ball!! The defense was stellar!! Props to GT for not folding up with 8-10 minutes to go in the game. That shows alot about the team and coach. Saturday should be quite a game for both Heel and Deacon fans!

GT is tier 2 until one of the following happens:
-- Elder is in the game again and actually playing to his ability
-- Morrow punishes teams *all game* from 3 ... and Schenscher realizes that you are allowed to score from center
-- Jeremis Smith returns (a shame he was injured, he would have been ACC ROTY)
