With the addition of a 3rd bowl guarantee and possibly a 4th if C-USA or BE can't fulfill the Birmingham slots, I have to figure WKU is really hoping to get in the MAC now. I wonder if MTSU fans will change their minds at all. Sun Belt still has just 1 bowl tie-in.

RF--you really like slamming directional schools. At least NIU, WMU, CMU and EMU (one of the oldest schools in Michigan) didn't start out as city schools. Its what the legislatures decided to name them. I guess we could go the Missouri route and rename one our schools to, oh lets say, JFK University (but that would be the biggest party school) like Truman State. Toledo could have easily been Northwest Ohio State instead of the University of Toledo and forever linked with Klinger.

What are you talking about. I do not slam direction schools. I talk smack with NIU, but I also say you guys are very good and I remember being one of the first UT posters on the NIU board to give you congrats after beating us. And I gave you guys a picture of Garrett Wolfe running for that TD against us.
I do NOT slam Central Michigan, Western Michigan, or Eastern Michigan. Please show examples if you believe so.
In my preseason predictions I have picked North Texas to win the Sun Belt every year, even last year when they didn't.
You are very wrong if you think I like slamming directional schools. I think you have me confused with a few other UT fans. The name of the school doesn't mean anything towards the quality of the program and so forth.

This may not have made it to NW Ohio yet, but we have airplanes now. They go up to 500 mph. You can get to Nashville (near WKU) in an hour. Really!!

Pretty condescending comment coming from a conference co-member of the directional Michigan's, Ball's, and Buffalo's of the world.
I'm sorry if you thought I was cracking on Florida INT and Florida ATL by saying it the way I did. That was not my intent. It was just a little easier to type it that way then to say Florida in both team's name. And my reference of North Texas was not meant because it is a directional school. I see your post and can see where my post could have been taken that way and I apologize if it was. I picked North Texas because they have been the best overall program in football over the years in the SBC. I also picked the two Florida schools because they would get the best recognition outside of SBC country. My intent was to name the better schools in the SBC instead of saying UL-Monroe and Arkansas State which I figured would probably get a response to the fact that they are not the best schools in the SBC......even though they both had very good seasons in 2005 and each went 5-2 in conference play.
So I apologize that my post was worded so that it could be taken out of context like that. It was never meant to be a directional slam.
My mistake. I admit, some of us can get a little bit defensive...myself included. No offense taken, I took it a little bit out of context. Carry on.
