FIDO nailed it. .1000 against bye raises our winning percentage.

It's a sweep. We know sweeps...from basketball.

Man, the scintillating wit of those zippie fans: he came up with a bye week joke! Granted, it was neither funny nor original and had already been used by other teams four or five times on the board this year, but hey, it's the best they can do. Go easy on them.

Imagine Akron actually winning something in the postseason... Well, I guess we'll have to wait longer on that one too..

But you're right, we're not good in football.. But the way you talk I would have thought you were undefeated. At least you are at home, right????

BTW, what was the score of your bowl game last year? I didn't pay much attention to the scores during that week..

Who doubts the Zips accomplishments?

Since joining the MAC, this is the list of the Zips MAC Championship titles in any sport:

Well, it takes awhile. But this is the list of the Zips MAC East Ttiles in any sport:

But all sports contribute. So, here is the Zips list of Reese OR Jacoby trophies:

In the behemoth that's Zips football, this is the number of bowl games they've been invited to:

This is the list of 8 win seasons they've had to be seriously considered for a bowl:

With this impressive list of accomplishments, you now know why the wagon Wheel is so important to The Zips. We actually had a poster on here a few years back getting emotional about the "special room" it was in. 03-lol :D This is the "special room": the University of Akron Title Room. All by itself.

Here's how I remember it. The Zips were the only bowl eleigible team with a bye week. Probably counted it as a win and explains why they are so interested in bye weeks.

FlashFan,

I know that you did not look anything up on our MAC Championships or MAC East titles. You would have found the Zips recently won titles in Cross Country, Indoor Track, Men's Soccer and MAC East Titles in Volleyball and Football(1999 tied with Marshall). I don't care about the smack but try to be somewhat accurate.

Go Zips!!!
