MAC needed Buffalo to emerge and 10 years later it has. The fact that Buffalo now has more MAC football titles than Ohio, Kent State, WMU, EMU, BGSU, NIU and Ball State since 1997 should be a wake up call to those programs. Ball State and NIU were heavy favorites to win MAC title games and failed to do so this decade. Buffalo's win is right up there with Akron's in 2005 as the biggest upset in MAC title game history. Ball State had stage fright tonite.

Thank you for adding some insightful commentary and giving props where props are due: to a program that many had written off as an abject failure that had no hope of ever becoming competitive in the MAC and 1-A.

I am going to diary this for review in 2014 and see where we are then.
