Although I don't think this "spurt" of posting will last...I hope it does, but I fear it won't, I believe you'd soon find that there are far more Hilltoppers on this side of the fence. I don't need to defend my fellow WKU fanatics because I know they are better than the handful of irrational Haven posters, 4 obscene T-Shirt wearers, a handful of dirty mouths at a game, etc.

Now, if you really want to be a true SBC supporter, you'll defend WKU against the Murray Community College In"breds" that will begin posting here with a vengence..

MT AD Massaro has mentioned a WKU/MT football game several times. With Massaro and Selig being best of friend, expect this to happen in the near future.

Heard Selig is the person who called Massaro at South Carolina telling him he should interview for the MT job.

I'd love to see a WKU/MT game.....that's one of the major reasons I want to stay in the Belt. The football rivaly, once WKU moves up to 1A, will be phenominal......... Even a IAA vs IA game now between the two would fill the stadium.............

We should be able to fill both of our stadiums. We will "dislike" each other even more, but that will be a good thing. Everyone needs a close rival (within 2-4 hours' drive).

Whatever happened to Topper Jeff on the Haven. I have not seen him post in a long while on any boards.

I had probably 100 posts on the Haven, and was banned for one post made on SBC board. Never been banned from another school's site in about 6 years of posting as "cajunraider".

Yes, we'd fill both stadiums, however, I wasn't even thinking about Smith Stadium because I don't think there's a chance ya'll would come up to BG to play until after we move up to IA or begin the transition period...........

Yes, it'd be a "hated" rivalry but a good one.....kinda like the New Orleans/WKU BBall rivalry of the early 90's and the UAB/WKU BBall rivalry of the 80's. Nothing fills a stadium like that kind of rivalry. I had respect for those teams but hated them at the same time....we hated each other because we were the both excellant competitors......lots of great excitement........ I can't wait.....

It seems lately the rivalries we've had have been more driven by nasty hatred and not good sportsmanship hatred..... Hope we can get back to that and forget the T-Shirt idiots, etc.......

The game ALMOST happened this year... REALLY CLOSE to happening. Conflicts arose and it didn't work out. But I'd say it will happen.

Share on the MT board all you want, but please, encourge your fans to respect people here. For this to work, it can't be everyone out to come on and bash the Topper fans for what they read on another board.

As I said, I'll post on here as long as it isn't an overpopulation of WKU bashers attacking us. This is a WKU board, respect it. Otherwise, this won't last a week.

I suspect there are WKU fans that don't have post privileges on the Haven simply because they have missed the open windows of registration. I applied about 2 years ago and never got a response.

I like the guys here but I don't see this every outgrowing the Haven simply because its a one-stop shopping site with news and message board. TribalGrounds has never had effective competition for the same reason. Gomeangreen.com remains dominant because of its admins and it subscription news service.

I don't want this board to replace Haven, but do you think it would help if we offered them a cookie? How about a goldfish cracker? :fish: :rolleyes: Its really late, I need sleep!

Sorry about that. I should have refered to your post and not to you. I come to a new board and click on the first topic and your post was one of the firt that I read. I am tired of reading all of the BS complaining about WKU. I think about half of the posts on the Sun Belt board are against WKU. If you do not agree then go count them. You even have a mod on there that wants to remove all WKU fans from the board if the other fans agree.

I don't agree. And I think/hope that post was a joke. Did you read the outcry following it? I believe it will take a few intelligent WKU fans wanting to have some good cross-conference conversation for everyone else to lose the "WKU hates me, so I hate WKU" mentality. Give it a bit.

I'll defend any school against irrational MT posters. I can't stand irrational, idiotic MT posters because it gives the other 99.5 percent of us a bad name. I appreciate the logical AND passionate arguements of my Blue Raider brethren like KAjun and ATO. One thing you'll soon learn about my posts: you can't argue the logic.
