Embracing the truth isn't naive.
Dick Cheney should try it some time.

Salon Magazine is now being quoted. Is that not the magazine run by noted atheist Christopher Hitchens. Who said Mother Tereasa was a money hungry person who hungered to watch people die and suffer. Most news broadcasts if you break them down are so far left thopugh that its hard to find a quality news broadcast. CBS ( Rather a democratic consultant), ABC ( Jennings -foreigner until it was exposed who would like Kofi Annan as prez; not unlike Kerrys real position), NBC ( Brokaw the best of the terrible 3 still slanted but at least they have Meet the Press).
CNN the most biased liberal agenda of all. They even have the Money guy going left now. Outsourcing everynight ? We take in 3 times as many forein jobs as we outsource. In addition you want to pay big bucks from our unionized programs that benefit noone but the union hierarchy. Ted Turner catholic hater. Great .
I guess salon is not that bad after all.

I'm always amazed when I see things like "...the magazine run by noted atheist...", as if that alone makes anything the man says irrelevant or incorrect. Get off your own biases long enough to step back from the canvas and see the whole picture. Conservatives have been squalling about the supposed liberal media since the Reagan years, and yet the media has treated Reagan, Bush I, and up til now, Bush II with great deference, seldom asking difficult questions and even more rarely doing any real investigating. We WERE treated to 8 years of coverage of Bill Clinton's sexcapades...almost as if they were being spoon-fed to the media. There's a bias in the media alright...but it leans decidedly to the right.

Bzzzzzzt. To completely run the table on this topic, you should have noted that Russert used to work for Pat Moynihan (assuming you're old enough to even remember who Moynihan was).
FWIW, the helicopters fly over *my* house too. But the difference is that I live under the flight path between the White House and Camp David.

Where are his "war hero" medals?
Or did he throw those away now too?
Kerry tried to dodge the draft to go study in Europe like Clinton did. He was turned down. So he picked the Navy, thinking that since it was a ground war, the Navy would be the place he could go where he would be least likely to see action. He was wrong.
100% untrue.
Scroll up two posts and see the links.
100% true.
You were saying?
So, has anyone ever seen this letter? Has it been reproduced anywhere? Has the word of one man who obviously (from the tenor of his article) had an ax to grind with Kerry ever been checked? Sorry, you'll have to do MUCH better than that.
Did you even read the Harvard Crimson link? It was published in their school newspaper in 1970, long before Kerry was a major political figure.
This isn't a question of opinion, it's a matter of public record. Kerry petitioned to go to Europe to study abroad instead of going to Vietnam.
Now, he acts like he was a brave soldier and Bush cowered in the Coast Guard. He tried to dodge the draft and they didn't let him like they did Clinton.
Say what you want about Bush, but Kerry has NO INTEGRITY.
If this race were Edwards vs. Bush, then you might be hearing different things from me. But as it is, the lesser of two evils is clearly Bush.

What color is the sky in your world?
Seriously, I am constantly amazed that people can be so delusional.

Yes, I read it. Three times, actually. Where is this alleged letter written to his draft board? Without it, that article means nothing. It is one person, who obviously doesn't like Kerry, making an uncorroborated, unsubstantiated claim.
Kerry served this country. First as a soldier, second by doing what he could to end a war he saw as unjust. Bush went AWOL after having his daddy keep him out of the war. Tell me again about integrity?
Bush has done more damage to this country than any other president in history, unilaterally and without a mandate from the public. He has diminished this country in the way we see ourselves, and in the way that the rest of the world sees it. Members of his own party are starting to realize that they have been duped and are beginning to work against him. Only a fool would call him the lesser of two evils when compared to Kerry.

Good answer!
Ever see Slapshot? Remember the question they kept trying to get an answer to? To paraphrase: Who own the media?

I kinda like the political jokes, pics, and avatars, regardless who's the butt of the joke. That's why I enjoy SNL's weekend update and the Onion. Everyone gets a dose.
Although once the subject matter itself turns all-political, it's definitely better in the Smack or Spin Room.
