The problem is the welfare gov't supported by the Dem supporters lacks any real substance therefore they push the ridiculous ( see oddball's photo). Any real talk on substance is not to be heard. Its childish behavior but it all catches up to them. I would not put much into it.

Where are his "war hero" medals?

Or did he throw those away now too?
Kerry tried to dodge the draft to go study in Europe like Clinton did. He was turned down. So he picked the Navy, thinking that since it was a ground war, the Navy would be the place he could go where he would be least likely to see action. He was wrong.

<a href='http://www.salon.com/news/feature/2004/04/05/medicare/index_np.html' target='_blank'>http://www.salon.com/news/feature/2004/04/...e/index_np.html</a>

Quoting here:

Bush signed the (prescription drug reform) bill into law in December.

The following month, the administration announced the program would actually cost $534 billion to implement, nearly 40 percent more than advertised. "Had people known that real price, the bill wouldn't have ever made it to the House floor for a vote," says Rep. Rahm Emanuel, D-Ill. (Similarly, the administration refused to even submit an estimate for the war while Congress was debating whether to give the president authorization to use force.)

Then, last month, Richard Foster, the chief actuary at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the top independent Medicare cost analyst, revealed he had been threatened by the Bush administration that he would be fired if he told Congress the true cost of the policy.

I'd've picked you as a likely supporter of unilateral disarmament.

Then again, maybe you didn't go to college in the days when the CND was a big deal. 03-wink

I prefer to work for a living as opposed to be a recipient of the Dems welfare program. Try it. Unfortunately under Kerry's penalty tax for the successful I understand your position to dog it.

As to the Dems position on the war See Ted Kennedy blasting the Iraq War as Bushs Vietnam. Maybe if Ted stop boozing and dunking people in the rivers of Chapaquidic he'd know the his brother started the Vietnam war.

Now I have to get back to work theres million of democrats on welfare that depend on me and others.

For me, I see and read enough of politics elsewhere, and don't really care to see it here............aren't there designated "chat rooms" for such interests?
You've got a good point. You aren't going to find sports related topics on an political board.

I hope my signature doesn't offend anyone outside of the MAC.

You wingnuts don't get to complain about welfare anymore. You got your desired legislation to help poor women and children to starve in 1996, signed by none other than your arch enemy. Find another straw man...

I just want to say that this needless politization of this web site is a travesty.
I have no doubt that if we elect John Kerry he'll clean up this sort of abuse.

This thread is so ironic it has drifted into a weird zone of anti-irony. Thus, it is just bad, not MAC-related, not football or sports related, not the reason most folks come here, no matter their beliefs.

Nobody is to blame, but everyone wants to get in the final zinger.

I missed it by a few years.

Disinvesting in South Africa was still hot, though.

Heh. It's kinda funny to see people arguing over who has the crookedest crooks.

A hint: They're all the same. And all this is an exercise in mental masturbation akin to arguing whether it is better to win a women's tennis match 7-0 over a bitter rival, or for that bitter rival to win the majority of contests in all sports over the school with the good women's tennis team.

In the end, it doesn't make a bit of difference.

And all the politicians are gonna screw you. Doesn't matter what circus animal they try to defame.

It does make a difference.

If Al Gore had won, we wouldn't be in Iraq right now.

This stuff does matter.

Up until the curent regime, I'd have been right there with you on that, Steve. These fools are different, and we're in deep s#!t if we let them remain in power.
