I agree. He has the chance to be a special NFL player. He has a cannon, and tremendous composure. I am certainly happy he is not wearing red and white tomorrow night.

I think he was -- maybe not all four years, though.
I mean, hey, if you had to chose between Kent basketball and Kent football (assuming you wouldn't chose Hari Kari, instead), what would you chose?

Not TMSU fans, though you said reasonable didn't you? I remember checking out the AZZ board prior to the draft and I read thread after thread about how Roethlisberger (or J Crew Posterboy as they referred to him in their jealous fits) "had bust written all over him." Most everyone on that board showed just how dilusional they all are. This is the same time that threads were going on about how Josh Harris only needs someone to give him a shot and he would prove to be a steal for a team, blah, blah, blah. I only wish that the same people (nearly every TMSU fan) would have provided a disclaimer that if Big Ben wasn't a bust, that they would tattoo "#1 Idiot" on their foreheads. :D

I think even the opposing MAC fans realized how good Ben was/is. I agree that had he been from the "other" Miami, he'd have been coveted top 5. As it stands now, Pittsburgh is one happy team. As a Bengals fan, I hate it. As a Ben fan, I just say well done.

Not having ever seen Akron's Charlie Frye play, I will say that BGSU's Omar Jacobs will be the next QB making a big splash in the NFL.
But he still has a couple years to prove himself. He seems to have all the tools of a star though.
I hope Gradkowski has a NFL career ahead of him but that is a wait and see proposition. I think he has good mobility, poise and a decent arm.

Or wear a "U Toledo" sweatshirt. Same thing.

I think the same way. From watching the NIU game, I became impressed with Jacobs. He is going to be a good one, much, much better than Josh Harris. I just hope that he stays committed to the position like Roethlisberger, Leftwich, etc. (except for when he plays against UT, then I hope he sucks)

Herd Fan in Card Country Wrote:One rookie I am disappointed in is Turner. When LT went down I thought he would get the bulk of the carries but it seemed that a guy named Chatman got the carries in LT absence. Is Turner hurt or something? However, it is possible that the Chargers a very deep at RB considering that Chatman did fairly well in LT's place.
I'm not aware of any injuries. In preseason, Chatman did somewhat better than Turner running the ball. Of course, he's been around for a few seasons as a backup so he's more experienced. He's smaller and quicker than Turner, more like a Charlie Garner type guy, I think.
I don't think Turner really got enough carries even in preseason games to see what he can do. Also, I think he's a little too heavy at 237 lbs so maybe he looks a little slow? Not sure.
Apparently, he was doing pretty good at blocking, and proved the scouts wrong that thought he had bad hands (have no idea why the scouts thought that).

ROTY...great possibility...he really took it to my Cowboys a few weeks back...MVP...no possible scenario. He's had a great year, but too many veterans are having outstanding years...Manning, Culpepper, Holmes to name a few.

Hey, just so you know, Jacob Bell is starting at guard for the Titans. He's started in all but one game, I believe.
Of course, we had three O-linemen invited to camps. Our biggest offensive problem this year has not been Betts, it's been our offensive line. They are playing much better now, but I suppose we shouldn't have underestimated the effect of losing three possible NFL caliber linemen.
