I always thought the MAC was a good conference. The level of football play is right up there with any other non-bcs conference...Conference USA included. I am excited about heading to C-USA though because its just a better geographic fit for us. Plus more bowls and tv money. Basketball and Baseball will be really exciting in the new C-USA. I have nothing bad to say about the mac. You gave us a home for a few years, and I for one am grateful. I will always root for MAC teams, except when they play UCF or maybe another NC-USA team. I gotta root for Marshall since they're going with us. Good luck to all the MAC teams, and maybe when O'leary gets our team fixed, we'll get a rematch in the GMAC bowl. :D :chair:

Im not worried about UCF long term... Our last coach.. lost this team last year... we now have 70 kids under schollies... we are basically a 1aa team right now. We increased student requirements for new recruits... so we wont lose tons of kids like just happened. we already have 10 early commits.. never did that many this early before... and have a 4 star running back considering us.. (doubt we get him.. but it shows the difference with oleary at the helm) I wish the Mac well .. I was glad when we joined.. and now am glad to be going.. we needed to get all sports in one place.. and CUSA is much better fit travel wise for us.

Incidentally, I believe UTEP deserves to the ranked. It's probably hypocritical for a MAC fan to think the Miners "are not good enough" to be ranked.

Right. You're the moron that suggested to someone in this discussion to leave the discussion in order to shore up his own team. Considering your team by far needs the most shoring up here, I simply suggested that you follow your own advice.

At 7-2, we're in pretty good shape and can risk talking about other things. At 0-9, you really need to leave here and concentrate.

Really, how can it not be?  UTEP has a winning season, with the same players they had the year before.  It's amazing.  Armageddon is on its way.
