The bureaucracy is rude, dishonest, and dehumanizing.
They are as corrupt as any UT police officer and just as prone to treat someone with disrespect. They cannot be trusted with anything. Professors are frequently late for class and the quality of classroom instruction is poor. Professors are uninspired, arrogant, and unresponsive to student needs.
The University of Toledo police have as poor a record of preventing crime as their record is of committing it. Break-ins, sexual assaults, and auto theft are frequent occurrences on campus. In Parks Tower dormitory, for example, 27 dorm room keys were stolen over spring break, resulting in $35,000 in losses from students' rooms. The University of Toledo police have no suspects, though they reported keeping a police presence within the building when the crimes occurred.
Unlike many universities, the University of Toledo has virtually no adjoining campus business district. The campus is scenic, but it's surrounded by fast-moving, busy urban streets. Slums adjoin the separate sections of campus which are located miles apart within the city. International students are forced to live in ghettos and commute long distances over bumpy roads to reach campus. Some are forced to ride in dilapidated UT buses which are unsafe.

Ok I have to disagree with all of what he said, First of all, in regards to the "break in at Parks Tower", Get your facts straight!!! They arrested and prosecuted several students for the break ins. There was one guy who was working the front desk who decided to give some of his friends access to the dorms to loot through the rooms.... nothing to do with UTPD.....
As for the teachers, they show up late to class? hmmmm if you have a problem with teachers showing up late, they have deans of all colleges that are usually more than willing to listen to complaints. (believe me they want to make sure that if you pay for the classes you get the classes... thus not very often does the University close due to snow b/c back 5 or so years ago when they did cancel classes some law student figured out down to the penny how much money she lost by classes being cancelled and sued the University for reimbursement).
The University is responsible for the "business district" that surrounds the University? I attended EMU for my first year and if you think Toledo is bad??? Try living in Ypsi without a car for a year and see how great of a university it is!!!
"slums" adjoin the separate sections of the university.... I don't think you have ever been outside of your "pretty little world" Take a trip to the West side of Chicago some time.... you will see slums... or maybe drive a little north to Detroit... even the "better" parts of the city are worse than the "slums" you speak of.....
International students are forced to live in ghettos and commute long distances over bumpy roads to reach campus..... First of all, NO ONE IS FORCED TO LIVE ANYWHERE...During the years that I went to UT, most of the foreign students lived in the apartments that are near the University. and the comment about the roads has nothing to do with UT, they don't pave the city roads so take that up with the Mayor!!!
Anyway, if you are that upset about UT no one is forcing you to go there, if you feel that bad about the education you are getting, maybe it is not worth it... and if UT is sooo horrible, are you sure you want to put that on your resume? Maybe you should look for higher learning somewhere else....
BTW, What is your major anyway?
