Ever seen the T Shirt, "Will Rogers never met Steve Spurrier"?
Under Spurrier the Gators did not consider the team they were playing that week the opponent, rather they were the enemy. Spurrier did a lot of good for the conference and for Florida. But people tend to forget that it wasn't 100% good. There was a downside to SOS too.

Mostly while he was @ FL all non-FL fans bashed him. I know he was respected but he was hated just as much.
