Didn’t Houston do something similar?

With 1:52 to play in the 1H, option-happy Navy scores to take the lead over ND 13-7.

And ND scores with 0:55 left in the half to re-take the lead 14-13.

Navy in a battle with Notre Dame, 13-14 at halftime…

Yeah, we can fire Abell into the sun. Notre Dame could’ve beaten us 130-0 if they wanted to. We’re a laughingstock.

ND’s NIL funding evidently threatened at halftime. ND dominates the 2H to win 35-13.

3-4 (1-4) Syracuse takes the lead on #19 6-1 (4-1) SMU with a TD with 18 seconds to play, 30-27.

And that’s the final. Ponies lose 30-27.

I think it’s pretty binary on winning at least 4 games this year. If he can’t do that, he has to go. For all of his ineptitudes, at least Bloomgren showed slow and steady progress year after year.

In the NFL, Tampa Bay shut out Atlanta 16-0 today. They had zero passing yards (and like 315 rushing yards). Who says you need to throw the ball?

Deeee...fence!

I wouldn't care what offense Rice ran if we could win every game 6-3 or 3-0. Of course, some would call that boring. I never get bored hearing Rice's Honor after a win.

Two of the best wins I ever witnessed - defense.
1980 A&M - 10-6, and that included a quick-kick to pin them back in their territory late in the game
1994 UT - 19-17, a lights-out performance by our D

I don’t quite go back as far as y’all, but, don’t forget:
Rice 17, Tulane 13 (2013 western division champ clinching game) - we allowed Tulane zero first downs thru 3 quarters.

We won 10 games that year and allowed an average of 19.7 points per game in those 10 wins.

The best Rice victory I witnessed in person was my first: 17-15 over LSU (Sept. 24, 1966).

This game tops my list.

Unfortunately, a really good football game is remembered for reasons other than the football game.
