So, now on top of everything on board a jet fighter you will have a posse of drones to accompany you.

Loyal Wingmen Concept: Drones like the Kratos XQ-58A Valkyrie, General Atomics YFQ-42A, and Anduril YFQ-44A Fury are designed to fly alongside crewed fighters like the F-22 Raptor, F-35 Lightning II, and F-15/F-16 variants

Our versions are trying to get up to speed.

Thankfully Germany is heading up this project.
As a manufacturing guy with over 40 years of working with engineers from around the world, Germany is the best.

Of course I’m partial to American manufacturing but German manufacturing is hard to beat.

Thanks for sharing this. I look forward to watching this project progress.

The real key is you'll want a high-low mix of high quality high capability drones along with cheaper limited use drones that can be obtained in large numbers (meaning you can afford to lose them when needed). The idea is those cheap ones will be the ones you use to soak up enemy missiles and take the riskiest of missions---so your manned aircraft and more expensive high capability drones are protected and preserved.

Japanese defense planners and industrial firms are mass-producing and deploying low-cost interceptor drones—such as the Terra B1—specifically designed to knock out long-range, one-way attack drones like Iran's Shahed-type systems.

Ive said for a while, the cheapest and most economically efficient way to fight small suicide drones is to fight them with reuseable AI "interceptor" drones that shoot them down with shotguns shells or some other cheap easy to manufacture ammo. If the inceptor drones are reuseable, then the $3K suicide drone is getting shot down at the cost of few shotgun shells---and the economic drone battle shifts back in favor of the defense. On a larger scale, the bigger Shahed-136 type drones could be shot down by similar sized reuseable AI controlled interceptor drones using machine guns, auto-cannons, or cheap laser guided ordinance (perhaps something based off an RPG round).
