So oil is freely flowing and at normal levels, but none is from Iran?

There is a lot of conflicting reports on just how much oil is making it through. I will say I think around mid October it was at least close to pre-war levels, but since then Iran has been regularly hitting boats going through so now it is back to much lower. 2 days ago the report was 2.7 million barrels compared to 9 million. And of course the lying coward has not responded to the attacks in any way at all.

My guess is that only a very small percentage of the ships making the journey are getting hit. I also suspect financial arrangements have been made to support the insurance market for these vessels. If I were in charge---I would have already publicly announced that any ship suffering damage due to the enforcement of the Iranian blockade will receive full compensation using frozen Iranian funds (starting with any frozen funds connected directly to the IRGC) and those funds will be forever forfeited by Iran.

Why don't the countries whose ships are being hit do something?

True, but Congress controls the purse strings and has the ultimate authority on policy and law. If the war is sufficiently unpopular, Trump will be pressured to do things he does not want and Iran will develop nukes and there is little we can do to stop them from using them since madmen do not adhere to MAD.

If the Dems are elected and do nothing substantial to stop Iran, then they will be responsibility for Iranian nuclear blackmail.
