Trump, 80, wants NC voters to know he admires OH senator’s butt
President Donald Trump can’t stop gushing about Ohio Senator Jon Husted’s body during his attempts to boost the Republican candidate ahead of the midterms—even when he’s campaigning in a completely different state.
Trump first raved about Husted’s physical features, namely his butt, during a rally in Youngstown, Ohio, last week....
“I don’t do this with men very often. I started examining [Husted’s] body because I didn’t know he was a great athlete, and I looked, and I watched up and down,” Trump told supporters last week. “I looked at his @ss, and I looked at the whole, and then I looked at his hands. Look at his hands. He’s got these like claws.”
Despite being in Greenville, North Carolina, Tuesday to campaign for Republican Senate candidate Michael Whatley, Trump remained fixated on Husted. The 80-year-old told the audience that Husted was “losing by a lot” before his speech last week, then launched into a similar monologue about the Ohio Republican’s physique, calling him a “monster.”
“So he’s over here. I’m over here, and I’m studying his body. I’ve never studied the body of a man before. It’s not my thing. Nothing wrong with it, of course,” Trump said with a chuckle. “I always precede it by saying, ‘Nothing wrong,’ but it’s never been my thing, to be honest with you.”
Trump continued: “But I looked at his @ss, and then I looked at his legs. I said, ‘His @ss***, it’s like, it’s like a pile of muscle. Then I looked at his legs, and I said, ‘Man, his feet are big.’ Then I looked at his shoulders, and I tapped him on the shoulder, and it actually hurt my hand.” The president then added: “He’s like a piece of steel. I said, ‘This guy’s a monster!’”

Husted, a mainline Republican, started in the U.S. Senate in January 2025 after a special election to replace now-Vice President JD Vance. Before becoming a senator, he served as Lieutenant Governor of Ohio from 2019 to 2025.

A large majority of Americans believe that Trump will not accept the results of the midterms if Republicans suffer losses, according to a recent survey conducted by The Washington Post, ABC News, and Ipsos.
The skepticism crosses party lines, with seven in ten Americans overall lacking confidence that Trump would accept a defeat. That view is shared by vast majorities of Democrats and independents, as well as more than a third of Republicans. However, most Americans still say they trust how the election will run, with six in 10 respondents saying they are confident the midterms will be fair.
