RE: 2026 Week 8 Prediction Thread
(10-19-2026 01:28 PM)SactoHornetAlum Wrote: As we continue towards November #MACtion, play continues on Saturday's still!
SAC @ BSU: The Ball-Sac Bowl is here. Wish the Hornets were better than they were. If Salazar starts over Sharmin, we have a chance to be competitive. The Cards got a great win over BGSU at the Doyt in OT and have momentum. Should be no issue at Scheumann. BSU 21, SAC 10
UMass @ UConn: Rivalry game kicks things off on Friday night. UMass still reeling from the loss of Pop, lost a heartbreaker in OT in another rivalry game against Buffalo. Now the indy Huskies are up. Take the home team and the points. UConn 27, UMass 20
WMU @ TOL: WMU won the first of their two rivalry games in MP by a score. Toledo took care of WMU's other rival in Ipsy to give the Eags their first MAC loss. Both teams are 5-2...although WMU is really 6-1. This game can go either way as ESPN has the Rockets as a slight favorite at 53%. But i feel a stampede coming and the Broncos get the W. WMU 31, TOL 27
UA @ KSU: The other pillow fight game brings The Wagon Wheel rivalry game as the Flashes host Akron. Despite a tough loss in (west...err) South Florida, Kent hung tough with the other Bulls. UA is still a soccer school and KSU will zip on by them! KSU 38, UA 17
M-OH @ CMU: Once again Miami shows the non-con is just proper tuneups for MAC play. The Hawks are 2-1 are starting to heat up towards the preseason projections. The Chips got their hearts crushed at home to WMU and are sliding. The heartbreak continues at Kelly-Shorts on Saturday. M-OH 24, CMU 21
BGSU @ BUF: Don't look, but the Bulls are above .500 halfway through October, winning the Flagship Cup in exciting, OT fashion. The Falcons were favored at home against BSU and couldn't hold off the other birds as the Cards flew away in OT. Buffalo continues their late season charge here. BUF 28, BGSU 20
EMU @ OHIO: Had EMU beat Toledo, this one would have given the winner the inside track at the #1 seed in Detroit. As it is, the Bobcats now own the nation's longest home winning streak at 16 now at The Frank. Ohio did what it needed to do against the Hornets in SAC. Ohio makes its 17-in a row at Peden. OHIO 42, EMU 27
Enjoy the games y'all!
6-1 for the week! Just missed on WMU-TOL. Now 55-22 on the year.
