RE: Thanks Russia
Trump is such a moron on this issue. Gas prices were fine until the Iran war---and blaming the Ukrainian War for the issue isnt fooling anyone---nor is it going to help Republicans in the mid-terms. One fix might be to actually knock the hell out of Iran when they attack vessels in the US sponsored Omani waters "southern route" through the Homuz. Instead, we have allowed Iran and the Houthies to do as they please while we promise to do nothing until AFTER the mid-terms-----meaning we are doing NOTHING to fix the REAL problem prior to the election. Furthermore, Russia stopped all exports of diesel over a year ago. Why? Because they have NO SURPLUS refined diesel to export. Does anyone really believe that Putin is going to choke off the fuel to his army in Ukraine and further restrain fuel supplies in Russia in order to marginally lower diesel prices in the USA?

The reality is support among the electorate is about 70% in favor of Urkraine (most all Democrats and roughly half the Republicans depending on the poll). The sanctions bill supported by Graham passed Congress with massive majorities (86-11 in the Senate and 262-159 in the more divided House) because it was that popular with the public. While not fatal----its definitely not helping the mid-terms for Trump to constantly be on the wrong side of a 70-30 issue. Nor is it helpful to be seen as being ineffective in an Iranian conflict that is the PRIMARY reason for high gas prices. The American people are FOR a fair and reasonable COMPROMISE Ukrainian peace (which is essentially what Trump ran on in his campaign) and NOT a Russian imposed peace that is nothing more than a complete Ukrainian surrender. Ive said it before and it is becoming more and more true---the problem with Trump's foreign policy is it too often treats friends worse than it treats it enemies. No nation (including the US) is capable of supporting a worldwide network of military bases with a long term policy of treating its friends worse than its enemies (look no further than the current Iranian conflict for proof of that). I mean seriously-----Trump warned Europe of the dangers for relying on Russian energy----and now what does he do? Like I said---at times Trump seems literally incapable of identifying friend from foe these days. Im a huge Trump supporter---but this is an unforced error that is clearly a flaw in his thinking----I suspect his poor judgement on the issue is related to lingering anger over his ridiculous phone call impeachment in his prior term.

Nobody who was not already reflexively voting for a liberal cares enough about Ukraine to have it impact their vote.

Exactly stop Pussyfooting around with Iran

1.Take over Karg Island

2. Destroy all of their Power plants effectively putting them with no way to operate missile systems without generators

No fuel for Generators = Dark Ages

3. Seize control of Qeshm Island in effect freeing up the Strait of Hormuz

Just do this and let’s see how long these thugs can endure the hardships.

Iow, shut the yap up and finish what you started and stop trying to have a look over here at Z moment

No one is buying what you are selling

RE: Thanks Russia
We had to call off our main plan of attack because WE can’t afford it. Not because it’s taken things too far with Russia, but because WE can’t handle the effects.

The West is always going to be in a strategic deficit with Russia because we are the most financially vulnerable.

It’s the West who has chosen to run their economies on the slimmest margins possible in order to squeeze the most out of it for investors.

It’s not “poor” Russia who relies on hyper fueled stock market prices and borrowing to maintain low interest. It’s us.

It’s not “poor” who has to borrow to keep things from collapsing. It’s us.

It’s not “poor” Russia who lacks reserves to draw from in tough times. It’s us.

It’s not “poor” Russia who runs out of weapons and can’t make more like we claim. It’s us.

And if you think Russia doesn’t know our credit cards are maxed out, you’d be wrong… That’s why Ukraine has not been a hot war for years. They are waiting us out.

And we are the ones blinking…

Apparently Putin didn't get the memo. More likely he continues to play Trump for a Fool's FOOL.

And POOR ME for reading the diarrhea that you just spewed out onto the thread.

You are as free to go as you were when you came.

I do wonder if you look in the mirror and rehearse the garbage propaganda you post here. In case you need to know no one is buying your ill conceived plan.

I am sure there are some third world countries like Brazil who would be more apt to listen to the venom you spew.

Starting to think Trump needs to keep his mouth shut on foreign policy and let Rubio handle it. Too much of what he says is just not trustworthy—-not to mention there is a decent chance his “diesel fuel deal” with Russia actually violates current US sanctions law. Probably doesn’t matter because I seriously doubt Russia has any extra diesel fuel to send to the USA.

While these economic carrots might prove helpful, additional sanctions could also be employed as an economic stick (given that Trump has mentioned economic sanctions many times before). Large bipartisan majorities would support that path. Overall 73 percent now, up from 66 percent in March, would support increasing sanctions against Russia. As in past surveys, three-quarters of both Republicans (74%, including 75% of MAGA Republicans) and Democrats (77%) would support additional diplomatic and economic sanctions, as would 69 percent of Independents.

Trump is making himself look like a horse’s azz. Maybe Rubio needs to enlighten him.

If he would stop placating Putin and just 180 Putin. Iow Put Putin on IGNORE until his Rock head has had enough. You cannot placate an obstinate azz.

Man, this is getting stupid and old.

Trust me, it's fooling many in his base. Just look at some of the posts in this thread. 07-coffee3

RE: Thanks Russia
Isn't Iran trading oil to Russia in exchange for weaponry and intelligence, etc. to use against us in trump's dumb war?

So now we are going to buy diesel from Russia?

Not to mention the many many times when trump has lambasted anyone for buying Russian oil.

Weird.
