Quote:ATLANTA, Ga. — Fulton County officials admitted they did not properly sign tabulator tapes after the 2020 election, a violation of state regulations.
The county also noted it had misplaced other tabulator tapes and documents related to the controversial election.
The admission was made by county attorney Ann Brumbaugh during a Dec. 9 meeting of the Georgia Elections Board.
Tabulator tapes are essentially receipts printed from ballot tabulation machines that help to verify the number of voters matches the number of votes. They are a key piece of the verification and certification process in every county election across the state.
Georgia law states that a poll manager and two witnesses be present for the printing, checking and signing of each tape from the machines.
“We do not dispute that the tapes were not signed, it was a violation of the rule,” said county attorney Ann Brumbaugh. “It’s a violation of a rule, they should have done it.”
Brumbaugh said since the 2020 vote, the county has made significant changes to ensure it didn’t happen again.
“Procedures have been updated, people are taking this very seriously now,” she said. “Since then the training has been enhanced, the poll watchers are trained specifically, they’ve got to sign the tapes in the morning and they’ve got to sign the tapes when they’re run at the end of the day.”
Over 300,000 ballots in Fulton County were included in the count without proper signature verification.
That means those 300,000+ ballots are void and should not have been included in the total vote count.
Fulton County's defense? "People are taking this very seriously now." We won't do it again.
Your article is nearly a year old.
And we've covered this time and time again. NO! This in no way means those ballots are "void" or should not count. That's not how any of this works.
Additionally, the signature requirements were a procedural election rule, not a state "law."
But yes, they should have been signed, and Georgia has implemented more checks and this has not been an issue since.
trump still lost Georgia, and 2020, bigly.
They can not count if there is no chain of custody as to who and how they got into the system, dumbazz. You are admitting the election wasnt secure.
You may need to get someone to explain what the tabulator tape signatures mean like you are 5 years old, because you don’t seem to get it. They have nothing to do with how the ballots got into the system. They are used during the canvassing to cross check the electronic results (number of ballots cast) coming from the cards match the printed copies.
Georgia did a full hand recount. No tabulator, no tabulator tape needed. Trump lost.
Also the Trump campaign requested a machine recount. New count, new tabulator runs, new tabulator tapes. Trump still lost.
You are grasping at straws.

good grief you are dumb.
if there is no chain of custody, there's no proof the votes are in the system legally.
in addition, the count of mail in envelopes is several hundred shy of the actual mail in ballots.
it means that several hundred thousand votes votes got into the system illegally and without mail in ballots, and no one dared signed their name on the chain of custody documents saying they were the ones that put them into the system.

The LAW specifically states the elector MUST sign the ballot oath. You are wrong. Here is the LAW that was in effect during the 2020 election and going forward. This has been the LAW for years in Georgia.
https://law.justia.com/codes/georgia/201...-21-2-386/
"© If the elector has failed to sign the oath, or if the signature does not appear to be valid, or if the elector has failed to furnish required information or information so furnished does not conform with that on file in the registrar's or clerk's office, or if the elector is otherwise found disqualified to vote, the registrar or clerk shall write across the face of the envelope "Rejected," giving the reason therefor. The board of registrars or absentee ballot clerk shall promptly notify the elector of such rejection, a copy of which notification shall be retained in the files of the board of registrars or absentee ballot clerk for at least two years. Such elector shall have until the end of the period for verifying provisional ballots contained in subsection © of Code Section 21-2-419 to cure the problem resulting in the rejection of the ballot. The elector may cure a failure to sign the oath, an invalid signature, or missing information by submitting an affidavit to the board of registrars or absentee ballot clerk along with a copy of one of the forms of identification enumerated in subsection © of Code Section 21-2-417 before the close of such period. The affidavit shall affirm that the ballot was submitted by the elector, is the elector's ballot, and that the elector is registered and qualified to vote in the primary, election, or runoff in question. If the board of registrars or absentee ballot clerk finds the affidavit and identification to be sufficient, the absentee ballot shall be counted."
Georgia DID NOT follow the LAW during the 2020 election for unsigned ballots. Saying the 'recount' was correct is irrelevant because there were over 300,000 ballots that SHOULD NOT have been counted or re-counted because they should have been REJECTED by law and not by whatever the coward Raffenburger 'rule' said was in place. Again Tom, you are wrong, and Raffenburger was/is wrong. The law is very cut and dry.
You do know that the tabulator tape they are discussing has nothing to do with the voter signing the ballot, right?
Stay in your lane, Elvis. Tom doesn't need your help. He is flailing on his own. He has stated multiple times signatures on mail-in ballots aren't law, they are merely an election rule that can be broken at will.
FFS, dude, how can we put this any more clearly for you so that you understand and quit making a fool of yourself?
THIS IS NOT ABOUT SIGNATURES BY THE VOTER DURING THE MAIL-IN BALLOT PHASE OF VOTING!!!!
This issue is with poll workers not follow an election rule (NOT A STATE LAW) whereby they were supposed to sign the tabulator tapes that are spit out by the vote counting machine.

The only person that's making a fool of themselves is you, Tom.
We get it. According to you, voter fraud doesn't exist.

LeftwingTom, what you think about your party affiliation (stated above) and what we see on here are two entirely different things. On this forum your posts are nearly 100% in support of all things Democratic Party. I only say 'nearly' because there may be a random time or two when you disagreed with something the Dems were doing.
You go out of your way to post the most mundane negative things that you can find about Trump or most any other Republican. You DON'T do similarly about Democrats. That alone shows your extreme bias. Your denial about being a staunch Democrat is akin to knowing someone that is a practicing alcoholic that claims to be a sober teetotaler.
Frankly, I don't care that you are a staunch Democrat. I just think it's odd that you try to convince everyone here - including yourself - that you aren't.

You're completely out of your depth here. Yes, the tabulator tapes are a chain of custody document. But there were only a few that could not be found. Also a part of the chain of custody are the ballots themselves along with the memory cards in the machine. Regardless of whether the were not signed as elections rules stated does not disqualify the chain of custody of the ballots themself...especially when the ballots and memory cards were also there. And all of this has been confirmed with multiple audits.
Of course there were some minor variances...nearly every election has them. They are immaterial to the grand scheme. This has been shown to you over and over again.
So NO, none of this means that "several hundred thousand votes votes got into the system illegally and without mail in ballots." That's not a thing.
AGAIN, the signing of the tapes WAS NOT A GEORGIA LAW in the 2020 election.
No matter how many you times you sky scream and make that claim, it's not going to go back and change the law.

First, you shouldn’t call people dumb. We have seen your math in the social security thread.
Second, the tabulator tape has nothing to do with how the ballots entered the system. It certifies the count.
And it was fully recounted twice.
You don’t understand how elections work, and whatever conspiracy theory site you use as your primary news source has weaponized your ignorance.
