Russia is way down and we have in California shut down refineries in the last year.

its like Biden killing off the chickens on his way out of the whitehouse, then the libturds blaming Trump for high egg prices.

Democrat Presidents never cause any problems. It's either the previous Republican President or the Current Republican President after a Democrat. Democrats NOW are blaming "Healthcare" on Trump. That's all you need to know. Like Obamacare never happened. Well, we now know what is in the bill now, right Nancy?

FFS, you can't even get your lies straight. Nobody blamed trump for high egg prices when Biden was president. 01-wingedeagle

Additionally, the USDA requires the culling of entire flocks to stop the spread if the virus is detected.

And the coup de grâce, one hundred thousand ducks were culled between January 20 and January 23, 2025 at Crescent Duck Farm in Aquebogue, New York, after the virus was detected there. While trump was president.

Lastly, presidents don't cause bird flu, nor do they have anything to do with culling infected flocks, like has been the norm for decades. 04-chairshot

The scramble is on for diesel, while damaged refineries and tight fuel supplies keep prices elevated around the world"

Per article, it will take time (perhaps 2027) for the Middle East refineries to fully come back on-line.

The refinery issues in the Middle East along with Ukraine damaging diesel refineries in Russia and refineries taken off-line in California (25% drop in capacity from 2016 compared to 2026) are the main drivers for higher diesel prices. The situation should improve next year.

I think the federal government should strive to reduce barriers to building refineries to reduce our dependency on foreign countries. As a matter of national defense, the federal government should consider using eminent domain to allow refineries in California much like Dem FDR did for TVA electric power generation.

ffs, pull your head out of your azz. I didnt say your dumbazz blamed Trump when Biden* was president. I said your dumbazz blamed Trump for high egg prices right after Trump became president and after Biden* had killed off the chickens.

btw, wholesale egg prices are at 45 cents a dozen.

Because Trump fixed the problem caused by Biden*.

I did nothing of the sort, skippy.

And trump didn't fix a ******* thing. The flu waned...thanks to the long used industry remedy of culling the entire flock when flu is detected.

The only thing I may have said was that the prices were still elevated when trump took office and for the first few months of his term...as the market rebounded from the loss of livestock. That's not blaming trump for the prices, that's stating a fact. Further, it was trump himself who said he would reduce prices on Day 1, so it that didn't happen, who would you blame any way?

I've always known why the price was high...and it had nothing to do with either president. It's your ignorant ass who thinks they do. I can only continue to explain this to you, I can't make you understand it. 07-coffee3

I covered this before. California is basically on an oil island. They don't get any oil by pipeline and they don't really ship any refined oil to anywhere but the West coast. So their refinery closures don't effect the market all that much outside of the states on the West coast, mostly California. They also have a lot of EV's and bio-diesel too.

This is partially true. CA is an oil island, both structurally and in its regulatory environment.

But oil is the most liquid (i.e., efficient) commodity market in the world. Shortages in California can (and do) draw in supply from elsewhere.

The Dems imposed high gas taxes (the highest in the nation at $0.73 per gallon compared to Tenn $0.27 per gallon) and vetoed anything significant with improving gas infrastructure (e.g., refined fuel pipelines). California wants high prices. It is a feature, not a bug. In typical Dem fashion, they hypocritically carp about an end result they pursued.

Yes, of course, but the overall impact is mostly felt in California and on the West coast, not globally.

And they are hoping to ease that impact by pushing for alternative fuels such as bio-diesel, renewable diesel, hydrogen, electric, etc.

Time will tell if it works. trump dropping fuel efficiency mandates certainly aren't going to help, that's for sure!

California has the highest total net domestic exodus of any state in the U.S. Census Bureau data.

Because U-Haul doesn’t take AfterPay, Klarma, or Affirm.

People from other states that want to move are probably too broke to move unless they have jobs paying them to move as companies tax shop different states to rake in incentives to move there for a few years until they scam an even better offer from the next sucker state.

All conjecture. I was simply pointing out US Census data that negated a point previously made. Any issues, take it up with the US Census people.

No, you didn't negate my point. If fact, you enforced it. The people who want those rules are the ones who stay. 07-coffee3
