mlb said it wasn't actually a mod that banned him, the forum software itself banned him because his warning level hit some limit. Still.

I think some are forgetting....most of the time, TB4E is level headed. Ive read some post of his that I just shake my head at, they are so far over what I assume is a key rule here. One that is remaining (nothing to do with mods) even if the board turns into the wild west. Also TB4E just cant let some things go, even after being warned. Some of you must miss these post, before they get removed. We all can disagree with the rules but if you dont like it you still only have 2 or 3 choices. Let it go, not post, and a 3rd one will come to me. In the end this board is not being paid for or ran (our time) by those posting.....we dont get input on those rules.

Once we get it in our heads this board is like someone inviting you over to their house and expect you to take your shoes off at the door, if that's their rule. TB4E seems like a good guy that has a lot of bad shite going on and most people could get along with, most of the time. He also seems like a man that can be stubborn as hell, if you disagree with his opinions on politics. Over the last month or two Ive took to what most on this board would call a lefts view on a lot of things. .....

I did this for 2 reasons with the first being not enough left point of view post. Second to make those post in a non far far left point of view, with logic. Im not doing this just to be doing it for those reasons. The Constitutional libertarianism in me agrees with it. There's a lot of right posting people, TB4E, being one that thinks, its ALL or NOTHING.

You can disagree, with something and still believe a person has the rights to do it. Of you can agree with parts of a stands, but some on here dont see it that way. As in the baby killer, personally I would drag this person over a gravel road slowly so she could feel every little sharp hit. But I also think those 11 juries had the right to com back as they did....under the law. I personally could not follow that law but others are better at doing what the court said.

TB4E once criticized me for being too juvenile with many of my posts. And he was correct to do so. I've tried (though I could try even harder) to tone it down a bit since then.

TB4E is a Pearl Jam fan. For that alone, ... he has my respect.

Some things to reflect upon:

1. Any public discussion of a moderator action is a bannable offense.

2. All moderator actions are a matter of record and may be reviewed by the site progenitor.

3. If you are ever issued a warning that you truly do not believe you deserved then please do not send the moderator who warned you a scathing reply via the PM or email systems. If you do and are offensive in any way it is the right of the moderator to ban you or warn your further. The original warning can be appealed. The abuse of the moderator via PM or email cannot. If you think the moderator for any reason, has it in for you the appeal is the way to go. The nasty PM response is your one-way ticket out of here.

4. Generally being abusive to another poster(s) multiple times is going to get you banned. But bans are not limited to that. Spamming gets you banned. Slurs of any kind get you banned. Physical threats get you banned. Threats of violence against elected officials or the nation get you banned. But then so too do constant attempts to derail threads, insert arguments which are not part of the OP, constantly moving the goal posts of argument at hand, or just making constant oddball remarks which have nothing to do with anything. Threads are not here for just you, but for the readers of this site which outnumber you by an extremely large number and they create the views which drive the advertising which keep this site free. Make unreadable threads and you drive them away. Have constant pooh flinging and you drive them away.

5. The site computer may ban you when your % of warning hits 100%. But the site computer doesn't issue warnings. Moderators issue warnings. Hence the records.

6. Normally I would have disapproved multiple posts in this thread. I left them up to make this response. But in the future anyone discussing moderation by any means but an inquiry with management or by PM with a moderator, will be officially warned.

7. Treat the posters here like they were your customers and not your family!

I agree he was over the top there. That isn't typical of him. Not to defend him, but he's had a number of personal losses recently. That's not so much an excuse as it is a cry for sympathy. I realize liberals only sympathize with illegals and trannies.

As to TB4E ... he is a complex and distinctive person and personality. It can be challenging to assess such people.

TB4E roughed me up a few times with his posts (deservingly on occasion). But he also was complimentary of me — and even gracious at times. I actually found him likable in an unusual way. I wish him well.

The thread is about how you wish the board to be moderated. The discussion is about a particular moderation action. You may discuss how you want the board to be moderated. You may not discuss the moderation action. And those aren't my rules. They are in the AUP of this site.

I haven't voted on an option and I won't, but I'm in the minority of opinion here.

This website as a whole NEEDS a MAJOR overhaul.

There are political pages and sports pages that have next to nothing in terms of traffic.

Rolling them up into one will help get traffic going, and it can also redirect some of the server space to be used to beef up security whenever this website goes down for a day due to a massive bot attack.

I'm NOT a tech geek, but that's how I see it.

As for moderation, people are going fling mud at each other, even after they put each other on ignore.

Adding more mods is not going to fix the problem.
