There are options.
I made my decision in 1995 when streaming wasn't even a dream. dial-up modem wouldn't support much of anything other than text and images.
Hence, DirecTV satellite gave me the best option over my cable options.
Does YouTube offer ESPNplus telecasts? They are nice but probably not the reason to pick one option over another.
This may seem obvious, thinking about it, is that a game on DirecTV satellite can be recorded. I can't record a stream say ESPN+ on my PC.
Yes, YTTV has a ESPN Unlimited (which includes ESPN+) included into their system. So you can watch ESPN+ broadcasts on YTTV. You don't need to pull up the ESPN app. And YTTV has a great multi-view feature, which now includes ESPN+ broadcasts, so you can watch up to 4 games at once. And you can even record ESPN+ broadcasts - I have my YTTV setup to record all CFB games, and every single ESPN+ broadcast is now recorded.

RE: MAC Television
Once again, all games are on ESPN+ except for the road trip to the Big Ten.
The impression I get here is that CBS Sports Network is no longer picking up a game of the week.
It would seem that weeknight football remains our best path to linear television.
All times Eastern.
Sacramento State at Bowling Green, noon.
Ball State at Northwestern, 12:30 p.m., Big Ten Network.
Miami at Massachusetts, 2 p.m.
Central Michigan at Ohio, 3:30 p.m.
Kent State at Western Michigan, 3:30 p.m.
Eastern Michigan at Akron, 3:30 p.m.
Buffalo at Toledo, 3:30 p.m.

CW I hope would do something with the MAC.
In all honest for the MAC right now I think the money is more important than anything else.

My impression is that CBS Sports Network was never a GOTW deal, it was always "sublicense to fill in programming slots" ... but with having both MWC games and PAC-12, along with CUSA inventory that notched up a little last season, they may not need as many.

I agree. When the MAC gets a couple games per week of say ESPN2/U or CBSSN, I'd say take it and be glad.
And remember the schedules were made out in early spring and no one knew that UMass would be 4 - 0.
Sure most liked WMU and TOL, but after that??? ESPN will need to assign mid-week games as it sees fit.

For those who may have DirecTV Satellite there are 3 games on ESPNplus
Miami/UMass, Buffalo/Toledo and EMU/Akron. And for those who are a glutton for punishment, BSU @ Northwestern, BTN.

There you go, I have ESPN "select" and Fox streaming, so I've got the whole gamut available.

Why are none of the home teams playing at 7pm? It’s a wide open time slot especially when we have been relegated to streaming.

It is Homecoming this weekend at Western and I doubt they want a late game.

We have a segment of fans in Bowling Green that would prefer later kickoffs, but the university seems to be defaulting to noon starts right now.
We have a long tradition of day games in Bowling Green. Our stadium didn't get permanent lights until 2001.

It was that way last weekend, too. It's not an uncommon thing. Besides, the MAC probably figured people would complain that the game temperatures are too cold if they played at night! LOL

Yeah. It's... puzzling that one of these games (probably WMU-CMU) couldn't get the 4pm ESPNU slot over Illinois St and SIU. I'm selfishly OK with it since I have an ESPN+ subscription and don't have the U, but still.
MAC does have 3 national games next week. UMass-UConn (Friday) and WMU-Toledo on CBSSN, EMU-Ohio on ESPNU.

Nice to see the Friday night game on ESPN2, and the noon game on CBSSports.... Other than that, I suppose not having any of the weekday games on ESPN+ is a step up from what we are used to seeing.
