It is a critical juncture in the history of the college sports industry.

Without passage of a revised Senate bill, SEC leaders are preparing “Plan B” - a self-governing model in which the league enforces its own rules and perhaps even competes against its only own members.

If SEC does breakaway, they will expand, but they should expand to include schools that supplement weak areas in their sports for postseason tournaments.

Football and baseball are fine. Basketball could use a couple more strong basketball schools or blue bloods to help our postseason bb tournaments.

UNC, FSu and Clemson seem to be rumored lock, but who should the SEC add in spots 20 through, up to, 24 to help build a great conference in all these sports?

Saw this today but couldn't extract the link. I'm glad you posted it. It is what I've been hearing for most of the Summer and off an on in the past few years.

It is also why I would love to see us move to 24 with 3 key basketball brands (Duke, UNC & Kansas to go with Kentucky) and still add Clemson, FSU, N.C. State, Virginia Tech and UVa for markets and added football strength.

It protects the region, covers vast number of viable rivalries, and basically excludes the Big Ten from eroding any support from the region. If you wanted to be complete move to 28 and take Miami, Georgia Tech, Louisville and another to the West.
