lulz, we can now see how it played out. Took all of a few minutes.
Saudi Arabia joins in the war against Iran.
Saudi official press release:
Quote:The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia condemns and denounces in the strongest terms the treacherous Iranian aggression and the blatant violation of the sovereignty of each of the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Qatar, the State of Kuwait, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, affirming its full solidarity and standing by the side of the sister states, and placing all its capabilities at their disposal to support them in all measures they take, and warning of the grave consequences of the continued violation of the sovereignty of states and the principles of international law.

Dems best case scenario in the Senate is 51R, 49D.
Agree the House is probably gone.

The Iranians and the Arabs have hated each other for a long time. I think the ayatollahs’ instinctive reaction is just to say to the Arabs “Fukc you” one more time while they still have time to speak.
Quote:Saudi Arabia has condemned Iranian strikes on US-allied Arab states surrounding Iran, including the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait and Jordan and has vowed to “provide all its resources to assist them in any measures they take" against Iran. This comes after the US and Israel launched a joint attack on Iran early on Saturday.
In a statement following Irans retaliatory strikes, Saudi Arabia said, “The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia condemns and denounces in strongest terms the blatant Iranian aggression and the flagrant violation of the sovereignty of the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, and Jordan."
"The Kingdom affirms its full solidarity with and unwavering support for the brotherly countries, and its readiness to place all its capabilities at their disposal in support of any measures they may undertake. It also warns of the grave consequences resulting from the continued violation of states’ sovereignty and the principles of international law," the statement added.
Following strikes from the US and Israel on Iran, the Iranian regime launched retaliatory strikes at US naval bases in various Arab states in the Middle East. State media in Iran claimed that one person was killed from the retaliatory strikes in Abu Dhabi, but did not give any details, per the Jerusalem Post.
Kuwait, Qatar, the UAE, and Jordan have also said they intercepted Iranian missiles. This comes after President Donald Trump announced the join US-Israel strikes against Iran early on Saturday morning.
"A short time ago, the United States military began major combat operations in Iran. Our objective is to defend the American people by eliminating imminent threats from the Iranian regime. A vicious group of very hard, terrible people. Its menacing activities directly endanger the United States, our troops, our bases overseas, and our allies throughout the world," Trump said.
"To the members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard, the armed forces and all of the police, I say tonight that you must lay down your weapons and have complete immunity. Or in the alternative, face certain death. So, lay down your arms. You will be treated fairly with total immunity, or you will face certain death. Finally, to the great proud people of Iran, I say tonight that the hour of your freedom is at hand. Stay sheltered. Don’t leave your home. It’s very dangerous outside. Bombs will be dropping everywhere. When we are finished, take over your government. It will be yours to take. This will be probably your only chance for generations," he later added.

The outbreak of war between the United States, Israel, and Iran carries grave consequences for international peace and security.
In this decisive moment, all measures are being taken to ensure the security of the national territory and that of our compatriots, as well as our interests in the Middle East.
France also stands ready to deploy the necessary resources to protect its closest partners at their request.
The ongoing escalation is dangerous for all. It must stop. The Iranian regime must understand that it no longer has any option but to engage in good-faith negotiations to end its nuclear and ballistic programs, as well as its actions of regional destabilization. This is absolutely essential to the security of all in the Middle East.
The Iranian people must also be able to build their future freely. The massacres perpetrated by the Islamic regime disqualify it and require that the voice be given back to the people. The sooner, the better.
True to its principles and aware of its international responsibilities, France is calling for an urgent meeting of the United Nations Security Council. I am in close contact with our European partners and our friends in the Middle East.

This attack on Iran is more important than who gets elected. The Iranians dictatorship would cause more problems than what a bunch of talking heads in Washington could ever do. If Iran's Ayatollah is eliminated there will be peace in the middle east, bank on it because this regime has caused so much bloodshed through its proxies and the regime itself.
You watch, only idiots who don't know the significance of this war will not understand how important it is to eliminate the ayatollah and his minions.
God bless our nation and its troops. Their training was for events like this, they know that their safety is not guaranteed, every service member who signs up to defend our country know that they may have to give their lives for their nation. Every veteran knew this too.

Correct. We are in this position with Iran because dumbsh*ts Obama and Biden* dropped 10's of billions in PALLETS OF CASH on them and allowed them to build up their ballistic missiles, proxies, and nuclear programs. We are basically witnessing the dismantlement of the Obama doctrine.
Iran is attacking all of it neighbors. If talking about prophecy, maybe this is how peace comes to the point Israel feels it doesn't need walls for protection.....

I think it will be pretty hard to eliminate the regime. It can't happen unless the Iranian people and a good part of the military are willing. I just don't know how likely that is. As the article states, Trump is thinking win-win deal, but the Iranian leaders are religious fanatics and logic doesn't apply. And, as the article states, the regime is at its weakest point in decades with Hezbollah and Hamas decimated and protests in the streets.
What happens if we eliminate the missile and nuclear infrastructure, but the regime remains intransigent? There were really clear goals a few months ago. We achieved them, declared victory and ended it. Now its a lot more nebulous.
Given what I know, I would probably not have done this. But then, there may be things about their nuclear and missile programs that makes the administration seriously concerned and might change my mind.
Regime change is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you are going to get. Or even if you get regime change at all.
