Disney's woke "Snow White" was a fiscal disaster. It lost $170 million at the box office.

As a shareholder, I am displeased. It is already difficult to achieve success in the movie business without adding a layer of divisive drivel. Someone needs to be fired. Focus on creating shareholder value. SMH.

“The message” was a factor, but I’d add the marketing and media blitzes for this movie were up there with the Bud Light exec as something that will be taught in business schools going forward. For over a year they had Rachel Ziegler as the face of the franchise saying a beloved movie classic was “weird” and being totally unlikeable.

Again, “the message” aside the movie was poorly scripted. The CGI and costume designed sucked.

The stupid woke ass idiot actress who couldn't keep her mouth shut before the movie came out salted the ground.

This movie lost the fifth largest amount in US cinematic history.

Big-budget movies like this have a financial history about as transparent as the Vatican or the CIA. But, for what it’s worth, it seems Disney dropped about $271,000,000 to create this cinematic jewel.

Seriously, they could’ve made 10 films with that. Not cheap, B-grade stuff either, but good films with some recognizable names in the cast and non-Hollywood location-shots.

Walt would be rolling over in his grave, especially since a family member (a descendant of his brother Roy, to be exact) is (supposed to be) on the board encouraging this sort of crap.

If there were such a thing as deceased persons rolling over in their graves, Walt Disney would be the poster child for it.

Usually, I think we should be cautious about saying what long-dead people would say/do if they were here with us now.

But in the case of Walt Disney, yeah — I think he would be horrified beyond words to see *his* *own* *name* being used to create and publicize garbage, and frequently it’s garbage specifically aimed at younger viewers. Just terrible.
