It is a slippery slope for sure. I know our Forum Council will back the victim, but the situation it totality is a no-win.
- Illegal immigrants are in the are (that is a Federal Law)
- Federal Law Enforcement (ICE) is enforcing the law
- This woman took it upon herself to insert herself in the middle of a legal ICE Operation
- She is approached (yes aggressively) but she certainly appeared to take a stance of non-compliance
Then it gets gray really fast... She decides to back up quickly then hit the gas to go forward, the LEO is in front of the vehicle which does appear to turn to the right.
In the position of that LEO - he is not seeing that turn in the second it happened - she is already not complying and had made a reckless move - what is he supposed to do other than what he chose (in a split second). You don't have time to mull over the options.
I do not believe the LEO was wrong under the circumstances.
As for the Mayor - FU - take the seriousness of people living in your city who are BREAKING THE LAW and do something about it yourself - then, ICE is not needing to be there. If you were DOING YOUR JOB in the first place, this never happens.....

He shot her after he was clear of the car. You can see his feet to the side of the car. He’ll he was leaning around the A pillar for a better shot.
He was big mad she didn’t listen to them and executed her. If he hadn’t have shot she would have drove off and been arrested later.
