RE: Bracketology 2026
CBC Sports has UConn a 2-seed and St. John’s a 5, both in the West. They have Villanova a 7 in the East.

RE: Bracketology 2026
USA Today offers a surprise after UConn as a 2-seed (South). They then have St. John’s winning the Big East Tournament and grabbing a 4-seed (East)! Finally, they have Villanova as a 7-seed (Midwest).

Frankly, I have to agree with them. At this point, St. John’s has to be considered the favorite to win the Big East Tournament championship. If that happens, it would be a surprise to see UConn hold on to a 2-seed.

Dave at Bracketville did the best of any of the bracketologists in matching the committee’s big reveal’s seedings in terms of getting them on the right line. The only one he missed was Vanderbilt as a 4-seed. And he had them at 17!
