Frustration with F1 rules at Las Vegas
The Las Vegas race was pretty good. Max was able to take the lead from position 2 and maintain it. However, what came later was really frustrating. Maclaren, who has already won the constructor's championship, had a tenth of a mm too much wear in their skid pads. Instead of them being given a penalty or a significant penalty, they were outright disqualified.
This is not the first time it has happened this year. However, it really affects the drivers championship. Maybe give a 30s penalty for the first .1 mm, and add 10 s for each one beyond it, with a DQ at .4 or .5 mm. But an outright DQ for skid pad is too much. You are not gaining that much of an advantage.
Sometimes F1 rules are over the top.

Yeah it happened with Ferrari earlier on in the season as well, I think in China?
Absolutely devastating for McLaren and their drivers. Lando pretty much had the WDC title locked up after Vegas, and now he has to be careful going forward. He's one mechanical issue or DNF away from giving Max the lead.
Their cars exceeded plank wear by 0.07 and 0.12 mm, respectively....
The penalty is harsh, but I don't know why McLaren would risk it by having the ride heights for both cars so low.

Lando Norris is WDC despite McLaren doing everything in their power to screw things up!
Happy for Lando, and I think he's a deserving Champion. Glad the Red Bull/Merc dominance has been broken.
Looking forward to next year with new PUs and regs. Hopefully the (slightly) smaller car for next year leads to more overtakes in general.
