The press to do the job they did and paint them as the good guys and President Trump and Republicans as meanies that don't care. Honestly its not a hard sale because most people don't follow this shite daily.

So if you are spending anytime on yahoo or google or reading headlines. It gave the impression Republicans wore the black hats.

Other than the healthcare junk, what did the Republicans really stop with the holdout? Other than knowing a lot of Sr's that was hurt by no SNAP this shutdown did not affect me at all.

I paid very little attention to it other than seeing headlines and titles of threads on this board. Probably clicked 1 maybe 2 of those and read 3 to 6 post before like most topics, it turned into a pissing contest between a few. So I read very little.

So that's a honest question on what did anyone gain or expect to. Another honest comment....

if I did not know better (even if I didnt keep up with this to know the side the press was on) it would have been easy to think by the headlines its mostly Republicans fault and not a good reason as to why. So I think Democrats got what they wanted.

Fox is saying we're still days away from the shutdown ending. More procedures, then back to the House.

They "expected" what they normally would get; everything. If this was a normal year without Trump, they would have easily gotten:

1. A few hundred billion for tranny surgeries

2. About a trillion for healthcare for illegals, which would have ballooned to $2trillion in the future.

3. Another $150billion for Ukraine.
