RE: [NEWS] White House ballroom donors have almost $300B in federal contracts
In the eyes of the Left only lifelong politicians who have never had a civilian job in their lives should run for office, and THEN become multi-millionaires. With their logic, if Sam Walton would have run and became the POTUS, Wal-Mart should have shut down. Also, only Democrat family members of Democrat politicians should benefit from doing business deals in the name of their relative who is in office. Trump should just get an 8 figure deal from Netfilx to produce movies, docs etc. that no one has seen.

They've had a few out there.. There was one about a nuclear blast or something last year that Obama had his prints on.

You seriously see NO possibility of donors getting preferential treatment...or government contracts...from the trump administration by making a donation to this monstrosity? You can't be that naive.

Sadly, we can't count on congress to do their job of oversight.

Also, lol Washington Post.

Or maybe like the son of a president getting a pardon after promising not to give said pardon?

Definitely a legitimate criticism and one most everyone disapproved of including myself.

Not least of which because Trump used it as justification for pardoning the violent insurrectionists who tried to overthrow the government.

Although classic “whataboutism” when you know you have no argument.

Ok - are you getting 10% kickback on this stuff too?

Yes I’ve set up a crypto company and pardoned 2 convicted money launderers who also did business with drug dealers and pedos to help funnel money into the bank accounts of me and my family.

Oh wait silly me that’s not me that did that.

On a scale of 1 to 10. This ballroom thing is barely a 1 FFS.

As for the pardon BS, they ALL do it... all of them. Some should never have been pardoned to begin with for sure, and not just JB or DJT...

Your f-ing head is in the sand if you think Trump is the one and only person on the planet to show bias or favoritism toward other entities or people who support them financially. That schidt is as old as time. Kickbacks, tax breaks, overvalued contracts ... seriously, get off your high horse.

It ok to just say I hate Trump and everything he does no matter what it is.

Where you and most of us here seem to differ is that you believe we support everything Trump does 100% - most actually do not. Tis ballroom BS is a perfect example... you are getting your nuts in a bunch over something that happens in all walks of life every day.... That is a waste of energy to us "supporters" because that is just how life works, get over it.

Most here do not agree with pardoning someone who does not truly deserve it ... and there are a few who Trump set free that he should not have.

Get over yourself ballgagger.

I wonder where all the money donors gave to QueMala went?

I wonder how Peloser was able to get rich with insider information?

I wonder how many jobs Trump will create with all these deals?

It's a wonder Balls can be this stupid.

So let me make sure we're all on the same page..

Several folks donated hundreds of millions for a ballroom to be built at the WH free of charge to the American taxpayer.
Some of these people are benefiting from winning government contracts.

I wonder how many of these that have been awarded the contracts will go belly up like several green companies did under Bummer and Bite'em.

LOL. Per the Dems, it looks ridiculous now, b/c it's in the middle of demolition.

They actually have made an issue of that in the news and online lately. 01-wingedeagle

you guys always miss the point. No one is arguing that humans don't act in a certain way, and that given a chance people will do X Y and Z for financial gain. Thats why we have rules, laws and checks and balances. Trump is bypassing the checks and balances (cheered on by short sighted MAGAs).

Going through the proper channels would remove the spectre of impropriety. I think given the sheer amount of $$ in government contracts available to donors, this will end up costing the American taxpayer far more than the cost of the ballroom.

For example I do business with a supplier who has government contracts. If he takes a government contractor out to dinner, that contractor has to pay for his own meal. by doing that, even though it cost the taxpayer a $100 or whatever it costs, it removed the implication that the supplier might curry favor by paying for a meal.
