Surely on another day they would have had better attendance.

Not necessarily. Rice is one of the smallest D1 schools. And honestly puts emphasis on collegiate sports as secondary.

As a result the major programs simply meet survival level, and attendance the same.

Different focus. But somehow to a certain pinhead, it is a major issue.

dunno about that, chico ... at one time, Graham baseball was better than a Rice student receiving an economics PhD ... 03-nutkick

Big credit to Graham there. Even then Rice baseball was on survival level support.

And before the much much much larger emphasis paid to D1baseball by most schools.

no doubt we miss our annual meetings ... was always envious with your OOC premier scheduling (and ability to follow thru) when he was there ... #topNotchDiamonds

RE: Where have all the loons gone?
Congrats to tanq for proving my point. I don't give 2 fks about anything Rice, and in fact don't give much of a fk about college football, period. The "pinheads" comment was merely to elicit stupid comments from said tanq.

Damn if tanq didn't fall for it lock, stock, and barrel, go figure. Just like I knew he would. Sucker.

I keep seeing people here saying he is intelligent, I just have to disagree.
