"A House of Dynamite" Movie #1 on Netflix
Currently, "A House of Dynamite" is the #1 movie on Netflix. If you have not seen it---I think its worth a watch. The movie is a tense depiction of a fictional launch of an ICBM toward the United States by an unknown power and it tries to paint a picture of the ridiculously compressed high stakes time line that officials would be working with---focusing on that time line from various points of view. Its directed by Katherine Bigelow, who previously had done "The Hurt Locker" and "Zero Dark Thirty". The movie appears to be pretty well researched---though I think they took some liberties (especially with the options for the fictional president).
Its a pretty good thriller---with a good cast---though I thought the ending absolutely sucked. If I were president Trump, Id find a way to use it to sell his Golden Dome idea. It seems almost tailor made for that purpose.

I'm sitting here reading this as the opening credits are playing for it, and I just turned it off because the ending sucks. Thanks.

My wife and I watched season 3 last week. It’s excellent. Each season gets better. There are some great one liners in season 3.

I watched “The Left Handed Gun” tonight. Paul Newman was brilliant. They don’t make good movies anymore.

Not the WS? Thought you were a big bball fan, just not of these teams?
That I get.
We’re in on The Lowdown. That’s pretty darn good as well.

That's a great show. I finished season 3 last night. If you haven't watched "The Americans" I highly recommend it. It also stars Kerri Russel.

My wife and I were watching the Diplomat. IDK, not a fan. Not sure the reason why because it's been awhile. All I know is the new season is supposed to be available and I have zero interest.

as a Cards lifer, I have a deep seeded hatred for the Dodgers, so, no, I didn't watch the live version, nor did I bet the game ... if I bet a game, only then will I watch live as I'm always looking for the middle with live-in play...
however .............. I DVR games of interest and watch when I wake up (usually ~4 a.m.) ... the > key is my best friend as I HDMI a cpu to a 55" that's 4' away ... I can't watch anything the ol' fashioned way ... too many friggin' commercials ... I've nailed down watching a baseball/football game to a shade less than an hour...

Geeeeeezzz.
I’ve got my hour long programs I catch on the regular down to 40 mins tops. Games of whatever sport, say football, hour, hour and a half?
DVR everything and run right through it. No intros, no commercials, often the huddle times are skipped to save that 30 secs.
I burn through the AA’s and remotes, I lean on em so hard. Good thing the Xfinity store is a couple miles away…

it’s the only way to ‘fly’, bruv!
I get even more out of running thru the cpu in the multitasking side when direct to tv and cpu … just unplug hdmi and you’ll beg for three hands …
some call it adhd … I call it efficiency at its wildebeestest …

I've been watching the John Wayne Gacy show... pretty crazy.
It was a few years before my time (born in '84) and I didn't know much about him.

I tried to watch The Diplomat because I thought The Americans was great but couldn't develop any interest in it. I guess I'll try again, although I was the same way with The Sopranos, so...
I really did want to like it because, well, Kerri Russell.

The ending sucks… know that if you watch it… House of Dynamite is an engaging film.
We like the documentary’s on Netflix that are part of the “Trainwreck” series. All of them are crazy. The Project X and Poop Cruise are especially entertaining.

Virtually everything I watch now, at least made in the last 10 years or so anyway, the ending always sucks. Movies, series, you name it.

My and I watched the Ed Gein series on Netflix. I think it is part of the Monsters series. The movies Psycho, Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Silence of the Lambs were all based off of what he did. Poor Bastard. The dude that played him was amazing. I have no idea what he really looks or sounds like.

I tried to watch Knightley's Woman in Cabin 10 ... it was beyond stupid ... it didn't take 15 mins to get thru that bs...
I'm beyond sick of movies/series that focuses on the chick flick wonder woman aspect coupled with all the fagoo-ism and DEI crapola...
The Diplomat has some of that, but the relationship with her devious/conniving husband is what really makes it happen as her character shows both strength and vulnerability along the trodden ... it's one of those you have to stay focused or get lost in the story ... very little 'fill time' ... that's what I've really enjoyed thru the first two seasons...
it's just like House of Cards first couple of seasons ... then the writers lost it...
it's akin to writing a song ... generating the riff is easy ... finishing the compilation is what's challenging...
