Tax dodging is a crime, tax avoidance is not. Anyone who isn't taking every opportunity to reduce their tax debt is an idiot.

Yep, I'm no where close to being "rich" and even I look for every opportunity to reduce the tax I owe. I strongly dislike paying taxes.

This is dumb and really simple logic. I strongly dislike paying my mortgage. But I strongly like living with a roof under my head in a nice neighborhood.

It isn’t about what you like. Nobody likes paying taxes. Everyone likes having strong infrastructure and services that impact their lives.

It’s fine that everyone pays the “minimum” that they owe. We should just raise it so that we those that benefit the most from our strong infrastructure and investments in society pay for it. The shareholder making $1B in dividends shouldn’t pay a lower factor than the engineer making $120k. It’s stupid to think so.
