CHP: “They said specifically don’t enforce it. This came from the top down - we don’t enforce that rule.”

The officer goes on to explain how their lack of English is a safety concern for them even inspect the truck. Think about that, not safe enough to inspect the truck, but they can drive on the road.

Ignore fed law, don't complain when fed funding is pulled. It is what it is.

The Dem’s are at least dangerously close to insurrection and may already be engaged with it.

I think the Feds should explore loosening the sovereign immunity of states in specific situations involving public safety. A couple of multi-million dollar judgements against California for their refusal to enforce the English proficiency law will tend to concentrate the minds of California Dem’s.

Meanwhile, Trump should withhold federal highway funds.
