When I was young, I always held the door for young ladies, and noticed how many just breezed through without a nod or a thank you, as if it was their god-given right. I suspect this 22 YO did the same.

Now my age and physical limitations have many young women (and others) holding doors for me, and I always say "thank you". Simple politeness.

In any case, not worth a confrontation.
