SEA*, POR, LV*, GS, SAC, LAC, LAL, PHX

UTA, DEN, OKC, DAL, SA, HOU, MEM, NO

MIN, MIL, CHI, IND, DET, CLE, ORL, MIA

BOS, NY, BKN, PHI, TOR, WAS, CLT, ATL

4 divisions of 8 just like the NHL. I’d go with the same schedule and playoff philosophy.

RE: NBA at 32
I've posted this here before, but reposting now:

Eastern Conference
Atlantic: Boston, Brooklyn, Miami, New York, Orlando, Philadelphia, Toronto, Washington
Central: Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, Indiana, Milwaukee, Minnesota

Western Conference
Southwest: Dallas, Denver, Houston, Memphis, New Orleans, Oklahoma City, San Antonio, Utah
Pacific: Golden State, Las Vegas*, LA Clippers, LA Lakers, Phoenix, Portland, Sacramento, Seattle*

So same as yours except Miami and Orlando are swapped for Atlanta and Charlotte.

RE: NBA at 32
I thought the Florida twins paired well with the Midwest clubs, making the Atlantic Division contiguous from Boston down to Atlanta.
