Talked to an old friend tonight who was in the army too damn long and asked what his thoughts were. He said everyone keeps talking about the blood loss, but I have seen that type of shot before. The way his body reacted, the bullet cut his brainstem. He was dead before he hit the ground. It's not really much comfort, but he likely never realized what happened.

I kind of caught it earlier when they were showing clips on Fox - there’s not a single shot that ever shows his kid’s faces. That’s a man of detail that was very aware of protecting his children.

Fox actually mentioned that today, that Charlie and Erika were very careful not to show the kids' faces.

Among the hundreds posted so far, two statements stand out to me:

None of us here are in a position to singlehandedly hold back evil. That only happens in the movies. The best we can hope to do is to navigate our way around it.

But what we can, and must, do is never let this act of leftist evil fade with time. Someone (was it GC?) pointed out that this was a clarifying moment to distance himself from those in his life who follow only the progressive playbook. I am not able to do that. I would be left only with my wife and a few select friends to interact with. But I can at the very least stop being silent when these friends and acquaintances start spewing more one-sided nonsense. I will endeavor to do so.

I didn’t pay much attention to Charlie Kirk in his lifetime. I will do so in his afterlife. God bless his family.

So even if the country was majority of the country was leftist filth, which it is not, fox would still kill it in rating because they are in a room alone and the other 99% of traditional non streaming cable and OTA outlets are leftist propaganda trash.

But in this case, anyone who is celebrating the loss of life, or making excuses for anyone to kill another person, is an awful person themselves and needs to look in the mirror and have a long introspective and figure out why they've lost their humanity.

There was NOTHING intentionally divisive or cutting about this man, he was the complete opposite of all that in every way. A gentle man who had nothing but patience, respect and love even for those who hated him the most.

If they are willing to label CHARLIE KIRK as a divisive, polarizing and hateful then people are simply not allowed to publicly hold Christian and conservative views under any circumstance no matter how peaceful and gentile they are.

There is a FAR, FAR bigger problem with mental heath and violence coming from the left in this country. From the assassination attempts on Trump, the the CEO's being murdered, the the cities they burn down and destroy at the drop of a hat to now this horrifying assassination of Charlie Kirk.

Things are NOT the same on both side here with the violence and the obvious mental health issues.

Its time for people to recognize that and start dealing with it.
