He speaks the truth, but unclear how to prevent this. If a homeowner want to sell and a private equity firm is the high-bidder, what’s the next move?

Deporting 40+ million illegals will help balance the real estate market a lot no matter who is buying or selling...

Deporting all illegal aliens would improve the quality of life overall in America. Well, except for the quality of life for leftists.
BTW, the number isn't 40 million. It's probably close to 100 million at this point.

RE: Charlie Kirk drops “Blackrock” on F&F this morning
Charlie has long been a voice of the younger generation pissed off about the trajectory of the country. One of the biggest things for the 30- crowd is home ownership. Blackrock and companies like them are a new development. They can come in with a cash offer and don't care about inspections. They will do the minimum to make the house livable and put it on the rental market. Before, a home owner would at least have to make a house meet FHA requirements so a first time home owner could get a loan on it.
Our HOA several years back put forth a vote on if the % of rentals reached 40% anything passed that would require approval from the board to sell to a corporation. The homeowners voted over 90% against because no one wanted the HOA to be in control of who they sold to, me being one of them because f*ck make believe governments.
Now there are two companies that own 45% of the homes in our neighborhood.

Not true of all renters, but they in general care less about the upkeep of the homes. And the rental companies only care about the upkeep to the point of getting getting fined by the HOA. That turns into overgrown yards that eventually get cut but just then have mountains of dead grass in the yard and sidewalk.
The biggest problem we were having were multiple families trying to rent single family homes. Our neighborhood has tiny driveways for the size homes, so it became pretty clear when a hispanic family moved in over the course of a couple week multiple moving trucks would come to the house and there would be 4 or 5 work trucks/vans parked on the street around the house. The community did pass a rule prohibiting that, on top of the city already having a ordinance against it. But the city would take months to investigate and enforce it.
Not all bad though. We have a large amount of Japanese families in the neighborhood that are here temporarily to work at Nissan. Those are some of the cleanest, most polite people you will ever meet.

20 under a roof + more vehicles ... only been sayin' it for umpteen yrs. now...
I knew you would respond in proper reason ... the wear and tear on infrastructure alone should drive cause to worry...
NG's right about how to combat such ... well, I would tie it into the residual impact of 401k/Roth $$$ ... however, it's a waste of breath and you guys wouldn't like where I would take it ... legally, it's a problem child...
at the end of the day, we're only 175 yrs from legally dueling on muh dusty 'roads' ... by allowing the fiat to flourish, we've created a multiheaded monster that is difficult to maintain/contain...

RE: Charlie Kirk drops “Blackrock” on F&F this morning
His point would be more valid if he wasn’t completely incorrect on the company. BlackRock is a fund manager (iShares) and outside of some PE “Fund of funds” doesn’t do private equity and doesn’t own houses.
Blackstone is PE that does work in the single family home market. Is this a massive problem? On the whole no, institutional investors only own 0.5% of the US single family housing stock, and Blackstone only owns 0.06% of the total single family housing stock.
Is this a problem in specific markets and areas? Probably. These funds have targeted specific areas where homes are affordable and rents are high, pricing first time home buyers out of those specific areas while driving rent higher. Multi-family units are in a similar boat, being bought by real estate syndicators who target driving occupancy up, then boost rents as leases expire and flip the property.
Not sure there is a solutions, and given trumps strong support for private equity (wants to allow private equity investments in 401ks) I’m not sure the current administration wants to do anything about it.

We have the same problem but the renters are Chinese that hardly speak English. I think they're spies and very well could be as we have one of the largest Army bases in the US. I told my usbp neighbor about it but I doubt he'll do anything to find out how legal they are. I've been aiming to email our HOA but schucks, I keep forgetting and instead come back to this site. It's all youses fault. LOL
Oh well, you can't change the world.

Short-term, we had to get control of the border before anything else.
But after that, the most serious national security problem we face is PRC-directed espionage. I know that Kash Patel has a lot on his plate, but we really need the FBI to step up here.

Quote:The People's Republic of China is a socialist republic ruled by a single party, the Communist Party of China.
Power in the People's Republic is divided between the National People's Congress (NPC), the President, and the State Council. The NPC is the single legislative body, whose members are selected by the Communist Party. The State Council, headed by the Premier, is the administrative branch. The People's Liberation Army also wields considerable political power.

Yes, and if the PRC sends people to the US for espionage it is the FBIs job to catch them. Not really sure what you aren’t getting here.

I've watched his campus videos (as well as campus videos of others) for a while now.
Used to you had people showing up to disrupt and shut down.
Now you have an idiot or 2 show up and they get shouted down by the crowd.
How the tables have turned.
And so quickly.
