One side benefit of enforcing the law is the impact on the next census. The remaining illegal aliens in the country will be leery of answering the door for census workers duty bound to count everyone. The criminals may not know census workers have no right to report anyone suspicious . The census is the basis for assigning electoral college votes and House seats by state.
