KABC reported:

Immigration enforcement agents carried out raids in Los Angeles Friday, prompting gatherings of protesters who at one point clashed with authorities.

At one scene in downtown Los Angeles, a crowd of people tried to prevent authorities from leaving in vans after multiple people were detained.

Protesters could be seen throwing objects at the vehicles, while others tried to block the vans from leaving. One person was nearly run over when they fell to the ground after getting in front of one of the vehicles.

Immigration enforcement agents were spotted at two separate locations in the morning, including a Home Depot store in the Westlake District.

A witness who spoke with Eyewitness News outside the store said several people, including men and women, some of whom are street food vendors, were detained.

Send in the National Guard and arrest anyone who so much as looks in their direction as they remove these illegals. Show these anti-American rioters that there will be serious consequences for their actions and this crap will stop.

That idiot mayor has already shown that she doesn't care if her city burns.

This is now a time for the governor to handle this... but he's busy at his waxing appointment.

BREAKING: Rioters attack ICE agents near California Home Depot

Quote:On Saturday, anti-ICE activists clashed with federal law enforcement officers outside a reported staging area for a US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operation near a Home Depot in Paramount, California.

This comes after a night of violent rioting stemming from several large-scale ICE raids in Los Angeles on Friday, which targeted Home Depot stores and other business locations, resulting in over 40 illegal immigrants being taken into custody.

Tension rapidly escalated at the protest in Paramount, with reports of crowd control munitions being deployed by federal law enforcement officers to disperse the unruly crowd of demonstrators, who hurled abuse at officers and ignited fires near the Home Depot on Alondra Boulevard. Federal authorities requested assistance from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Video footage captured by Fox LA reporter Matthew Seedorff showed several protesters being handcuffed and taken into custody for allegedly "blocking or pushing members of law enforcement," according to Seedorff. Many of the protesters arrived on scene draped in Mexican flags.

At least one protester confronted federal authorities with his dog in hand. The majority of federal officers appeared to be from US Border Patrol.

Los Angeles, a self-designated sanctuary city, erupted into chaos on Friday evening after ICE and federal law enforcement partners conducted large-scale immigration raids, the first major immigration operation in the city since President Trump entered the White House in January and ordered mass deportation operations.

Antifa militants and leftist agitators armed with riot gear smashed up concrete barriers to use as projectile weapons to attack federal officers. Dozens of arrests were made after rioters attacked DHS agents at the federal detention center, which was heavily vandalized with anti-ICE messaging, including death threats.

ICE Acting Director Todd Lyons issued a statement on Saturday regarding the events that unfolded the night prior.

"Our brave officers were vastly outnumbered, as over 1,000 rioters surrounded and attacked a federal building. It took over two hours for the Los Angeles Police Department to respond, despite being called multiple times," said Lyons. "The brave men and women of ICE were in Los Angeles arresting criminal illegal aliens including gang members, drug traffickers, and those with a history of assault, cruelty to children, domestic violence, robbery, and smuggling."

Quote:BREAKING FROM LASD SOURCE: “Deputies can barely support regular patrol activity in the field right now due to this incident in Paramount. There are about 400 protesters and 30ish Dep’s spread out over a couple square miles in paramount. Super dangerous. The sheriff and the county board supervisors doesn’t care about deputies. Pretty sure they hate us actually.

Freaking war zone. They're throwing bricks and m80s at deputies. They're setting fires all around us too.”

Quote:HAPPENING NOW

DHS Secretary Kristi Noem promises swift retribution to the rioters attacking ICE and Federal Agents in California the past two days:

"A message to the LA rioters: you will not stop us or slow us down. ICE will continue to enforce the law."

"And if you lay a hand on a law enforcement officer, you will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law."
