There was only the one Vegas 8 Tourney and I believe it was supposed to be 16 teams at first. It, like this woman's tourney was a pay to play event. You don't pay and you won't play in other words. I guess athletics has the money though. Good for the ladies in that they get 3 more games and not just the one like Vegas.

There's the NCAA, NIT and CBI for MBB. According to the CBI website, "The CBI is a postseason tournament for teams not picked in the NCAA tournament or the NIT that are also willing to pay a $27,500 entry fee to participate. It's operated by The Gazelle Group ... ." Played in Daytona Beach, Fla.

Can we talk about WBB now? After GaSo, NIU faces either Cal Baptist or Nortth Dakota, both of which have winning records. IMO NIU got in the tougher bracket, looking at the whole field.
